Adam Sproule, Snug, Tasmania
Hello John and Gene,
Thank you very much for all your work on this site. I am a direct descendant of Adam Sproule (b.1810 in Paisley,d. 1892 in Snug,Tasmania) and your efforts here have not only saved me a lot of trouble but have also shown me other parts of our tree I was blissfully unaware of.

Your Australian cousins and I are eternally grateful!

Kind Regards,

Greg Sproule

I am sure this lady was my great aunt, she was my grandfather, John McIllwraith Smith's sister. They lived in Dennistoun, Glasgow. Her parents were Catherine and Michael Smith. I would love to hear from you

Yordy Family
I am working on a coverlet made by Christian Yordy. I can see that you and Kim Kerr have done much genealogy on this family. I do volunteer genealogy on quilts/coverlets for the International Quilt StudyCenter and Museum in Lincoln, NE. I would like to ask you some questions about this family if you would be willing to email me at Thanks!!

Kathleen Alice McLennan
Hi, on the memorial you have for Kathleen Alice McLennan, #150072383, you have a wonderful photo of her. I am helping her cousin with their family tree (she is also related to me - 3rd cousin). I'm hoping you may be able to help us. Specifically, we are trying to learn more about her father, who is only remembered as "uncle Todd". Thank you for any info or leads you could provide.

RE: Warren Chesterfield Whitmore
Oh!!!! How do you know the Whitmore family? I will link to them as soon as I get a moment to get on here (sometime this weekend!). I have to leave shortly for a class. The Whitmore's are a part of my family I know almost nothing about and I soooo want to find out more! Anything that you can help me with, I would so appreciate. I can't wait to go check out his parent's pages. I am so glad you wrote to me! Thank you!!!
