|Bio and Links|
Those who do not look upon themselves as a link, connecting the past with the future, do not perform their duty to the world. - Daniel Webster|
Our individual grandmothers introduced us to our family history in 1949 when we were very young. The tales of the adventurers, frontiermen, Minnesota Scots fur traders, French trappers and the American Native Chiefs in our familiy fired our young imaginations like nothing else. Now that we are retired we can devote more of our time to this fascinating hobby, and learning more about "the frontier" in Minnesota, the Dakotas, and the Wyoming plains. Also pursuing in Virginia, Maryland, Massachusetts and our country's early history environs.
Since retirement we have become the family historians and enjoy genealogy and the subsequent history enormously ever since. Our personal interest resides specifically with these surnames: Paternal lines: Alden, Bartlett, Blackburn, Church, Cissell, Clark, Folsom, Greene, Hayden, Jewel, Lessert, Osgood, Payne, Thompson. Maternal lines: Anderson, Aisquith, Ayrd, Blanford, Bear, Brown, Campbell, Carli, Carrico, Chatillon, Crawford, Curtsinger, Frenier, Grey Cloud, Hagen, Hayden, Langworth, LeClair, Patrick, Pidgeon, Pugh, Renshaw, Renville, Robertson, Roy, Thompson, Toon Valandry, Wabasha.
Any information at all that you might provide along these lines is valued. Blessings!

|Carolan La Vallee-Rahman||Are we related|
I am trying to find out info. about my family line. I have been told that I am related to Chief Red Wing and wish to find out if this is true. My maternal grandfather's name was Arthur Bacon. It is said that his mother was the daughter of Chief Red Wing. It has also been said that my great grandfather was a British diplomat when he married my great-grandmother. I do not have a confirmation on his 1st name, only that his last name was Bacon.
I can be reached at: firstname.lastname@example.org

|Louis Roth||RE: Francis Marion Hard location|
does not make sense:
Garden Plot, Section F, Division 7, Tier 4, Niche 12.
Garden Plot F is on the East Side and is outdoors, not likely to have cremated remains.
there are Tiers there but no niches
there is a Section F in the Catacombs, indoors, and there are niches. but it is Not a Garden
I sent to note to the Vault and will let you know what they advise

You are most welcome, it was my pleasure. No, I didn't write the chosen. I put a link at the bottom to where it is on the internet. I loved it so much, I just had to share it.

|Patsy LaPointe||Gamble Cemetery|
Last year I posted a picture of every headstone at Gamble but I cannot find it now. It looks as though they combined it with St. Mary's and my pictures are not there. Posted Sam and Mary's. When I get back, I will post the rest of the ones I have that are not on the site. Patsy
|Patsy LaPointe||RE: Lessert famly|
Mary & Sam Lessert are buried at the Gamble Cemetery. I have posted their headstones. We do get to Pine Ridge cemetery as some of my husbands family is buried there. I will keep an eye out for Robertsons and I have always looked for Lesserts as they are in our family tree also. I can send you some articles we found in the Cody Cowboy newspaper regarding the Lesserts if you would send me your email. It seems there may be two cemeteries for Gamble posted on Find A Grave. Patsy
|Patsy LaPointe||RE: Vina Lessert|
There was a headstone for Susie Lessert Green that I posted but I do not remember seeing headstones for the other Lesserts. I will look again when we go back to South Dakota. There are Lesserts buried at the Gamble Cemetery. That cemetery also has another name but cannot remember the name at this moment. Patsy
