I applaud everyone for their additions to Find A Grave. I have found a lot of burials on this site for family members. |
Please do not hesitate to leave me a message if you have something NICE to say about anyone. If you want to be unkind, please do not leave a message. I will delete it.
(quote above copied from DaveV)
The memorials I have added have been made to assist those who do genealogy. They are not intended to hurt or upset anyone. If one has been posted that you prefer does not appear, just kindly contact me and it will be removed immediately upon request. (love this quote from T M & M L)
Please feel free to use any photographs I have taken.
As of January 1, 2016, I will no longer transfer memorials. I will be glad to make additions or changes via the edit tab.
"The goal at Find A Grave should not be to manage all of your family members. If you have information to add, you should suggest it to the current manager and they should make the changes."

FYI- Sure wish I had the time to sit home and listen for the PING of a new obituary being listed on a website. You know, so I could be the first to list it on FAG. LHD, JS ..... DO YOU EVEN KNOW OR ARE YOU CONNECTED TO THE PEOPLE YOU ARE ADDING! Probably Not!

|Maria Williams Murrah||Sigh, I am getting confused. Help...Please|
Susan, I am so confused. It seems that some of the lines I have worked on in my tree for so many years, which I knew many to have the same exact information as I did.....are totally different on find a grave.
Now, I am not talking about the memorials you manage at all. Specifically, there are one or two large find a grave contributors who seem to have either information that I do not have, never found during years of going out to archives and talking to the elders..... ORRRR.....????
I really would like to get input from you. Privately..... I am getting older, my health is not good and this is on my bucket list to hand down to my children and my nieces and nephews before I die.
I need help with some of these lines that have totally changed since our first meeting so many years ago. Would you be willing to meet with me and discuss this? I have no ambitions of writing a book as so many other's do. I just want to share what I have, what I have been given...and what I was told. Thank you, Marie

My grandfather's brother, Herman Nathaniel Kittrell, Sr. had 6 children:
Hannah Mae, Herman Nathaniel, Jr., Daisy Bell, Jennie Lou, Betty Jane & Annie Jean. You may want to add those that are missing. Some live in Orangeburg County and some here in Richland County, South Carolina where I make my home. I speak with them from time to time.

Hi Susan, I wanted you to know that I have been slowly becoming a contributing member of the fog crew. I have added my dad and my sister. I have added some family pictures and documents, I have also added a couple of obits. I am trying very hard to update all the memorials out there that aren't connected to the parents and siblings. Updating all I can do. I find it easier to ask for management of the memorial so I can update myself rather than ask so many people to do individual updates. I feel bad asking for so much time from others..... I have an extra large added appreciation for the many of you who are managing and maintaining so many memorials it boggles the mind. A lot of people are probably not aware of just how much time and work you and many others are doing. A huge thank you to YOU!!!!!!!!

I have been working on some distant relatives and finally found the death information on Augusta (Gussie) King Kirkland Strickland. You have created a memorial for her in 'King Grove Baptist Church Cemetery'. I found her death record (she remarried a Strickland) in South Carolina. I thought you would want to know that the death record and her obituary gave be burial place as: Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Swansea.
I have transcribed the obituary to my tree on Ancestry: http://mv.ancestry.com/viewer/daa40a39-0545-48c0-88a9-147e496fc6b3/22063977/28120772134?_phsrc=IIK820&usePUBJs=true
