Elizabeth Hanawalt
I was unable to locate a marker for Elizabeth even with a map from the cemetery office. There was few marker in the area where she is buried. Elizabeth's grave is located 2 rows in front of and 1 row to the left of the foremost marker in the picture.

RE: thanks for the Hanawalt photo
One thing I found interesting was on the other side of the Hanawalt headstone. It's a nice big headstone, but I wondered if one could read it as you drove down a little road in the cemetery. So I looked at the other side, fully expecting to find it "blank". Instead it has two other names on it. COY is at the top. Then it says: Earl P. Coy, 1892 - 1939, B. of L. F. & E., Hazel Coy Wallen, 1894- 1981. Would love to know how that came about. Peggy West as henry6716

RE: Henry Burress
Bob,

haha...I live about 1 mile from the Friendship Cemetery , and I walk the cemetery often . I just was looking at those gravestones today , since it was a nice evening to walk in the Cemetery .

I figured the 1784 was a typo, and with the death age , I figured you meant 1748 ...

glad to help :)

Mary Ellen (McGill) North
I recorded West Union Cemetery, Traer, Tama County, IA. Mary Ellen's husband (Henson North, 88038383 is buried there and I was uncertain if his wife was also there. I received a message today from contributor Sarah Staack who said:

Mrs. Henson North is not buried with her husband. Mrs. North's Name is Mary Ellen (McGill) North. She moved to Rockford, Illinois after Henson died. She is buried there in Greenwood Cemetery, In Rockford. She was born Oct 15,1862 in Iowa & died Oct 27, 1941 in Rockford, Illinois. You can find her grave on here and link the 2 of them together. Thanks so much.

Mary Ellen's number 86495174.
Henson North's number 88038383.

I would appreciate if you would make the connection to her husband.

Regards,

Ella Hanawalt
I went to the cemetery today to find Ella's memorial but did not have much luck, unfortunately. We could not find a card for any Hanawalt at all, so we looked in the interment records and found an Ellen Hanawalt that was buried there in Apr 1917 in Block 8, Lot 102. Then we looked in the Plot books where she would be located and found that she didn't have a headstone and that there was not any other Hanawalt's in the area. Then, walking to where she was, there indeed was no marker there.
I am sorry that this request cannot be fulfilled.

Hi Bob I have added the photo for your Gee request in Monongahela Cemetery. I am in the process of photographing the entire cemetery 1 section at a time. There were other Gee's with John in Section B I have added all of their photos also. All of the Gee memorials that have tombstone photos are all in section B. Kathi

HANAWALT family- PA/IN
Hi Bob, I just found your fine work here on Find A Grave as well as on RootsWeb re: Hanawalts. These families are my husband's ancestors. I wonder if there is a connection between us? Joseph Rothrock HANAWALT and Mary SWIGART are Howard's 3rd Great-Grandparents. He descends thru Margaret Ann HANAWALT REPLOGLE.

I've just begun to scratch the surface of this line, so don't have much to offer at this point, altho we've made contact with two living cousins of the HANAWALTS: Jay(fulltime RVer) and David (architect in CA). Perhaps you already know them?

Harold I Acker
I thought I'd pass along Harold's obituary. His brother George just passed away. I added him on findagrave. Thought you may want to link Harold to his parents. His father is the late William P. and his mother Anna L. (Fisher) Acker. You can confirm with George's obituary. But here is Harolds.
