I'm generally glad to transfer ownership of a memorial if you take some special interest in the person. Just use the edit tab to request a transfer.

You are welcome to use any photo's I post.

I'm happy to take any questions you have regarding sources for the information in any of my memorials.

I don't mind deleting a memorial of my own to resolve a duplicate memorial situation - as long as the other memorial is in the correct cemetery.

Many of the memorials which I have added are based on one of the following sources:

Marklesburg Reformed Cemetery

Marklesburg Union Cemetery

Mount Vernon and Lisbon Iowa Cemeteries

Mt Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Huntingdon Co.

Perry County, Pennsylvania Cemeteries

New Church Hill Cemetery, Juniata County

Westminster Cemetery, Mifflintown

WPA Graves Registration Survey, Iowa

Iowa Gravestones Photo Project

Kennekuk Cemetery, Kansas

John Baird
Hello Bob,

I went to photograph John Baird's headstone for you. Unfortunately, John doesn't have an individual headstone. There is a family stone which I have photographed and will add to his memorial. I understand this isn't what you requested and I'm sorry. John is buried in Block 42, Lot 16, space 7. In space 8 is John E. Carr, Find A Grave # 94701054. John Carr's wife, Edna #94701101, is buried in space 5. Space #6 is unmarked. One side of the monument is Baird and the other side is Carr.

re: Helen Schachtlie
Thanks for letting me know about the "other" Wellsburg Cemetery. The old obituary had me fooled. The correction has been made. Thanks again.

Wendall Crouse
Hi Bob,

Just a note to let you know I added the bio you sent to Wendall's memorial. Thank you for sharing it and thank you for all you do to help keep the Find A Grave community going. :-)

Hi Bob:

I transcribed the Mifflin County cemeteries from two books "Cemeteries of Mifflin County" which were published in the mid-70's. Many of the readings were badly mangled interpretations and the books were hand-typed. As I added photos, I corrected the memorials (names, dates, etc.)

I can't give any clues since I'm not a native and don't know the families.

As for a photo request, I photographed that entire cemetry a couple of years ago and if there isn't a photo (which there isn't in this case), I did not find a marker.

If you think it may be the person you are looking for, send me the death certificate and I'll check it out.

P.S. If any of these folks are your relatives, I'll gladly turn them over since I'm not related.

Hi Bob, I appreciate all the graves you have added for Juniata County and the linking you have indicated. You note that you find the info from a death certificate such as son of William P. Rapp and Mary Huey. I assume you find the info in a PA death certificate. It would be helpful for future generations that will be using your entries to note that and copy and paste the death certificate info that appears in the bio section. Thank you and have a good week, Leo Shelley
