I have been researching my family history and several related lines for 33 years. Some lines extend back to the 1600's. FindAGrave adds tangible geographic and historical relationships to my accumulated records. It will take some time to enter all my families into the system and obtain photos of the many gravemarkers.
I do appreciate the unselfish way others have shared their data and transferred memorials.

|Hazel Waer Melroy||Find a Grave for Robert Waeir|
Hi ,while researching my family I came across your record on Find a Grave for Robert Waeir, son of Thomas Waeir. I would like to bring to your attention an error if I may. Robert Waeir (b. 1743 NJ) is the son of Thomas Waeir (b. 1723 d. 1779 buried Schooley's Mt. NJ), however Thomas Waeir was not married to Ann Colver Waeir. Ann Colver Waer (daughter of Robert Colver and Anne Clark Colver) was married to Robert Waeir Thomas' son. Thomas Waeir is the son of Abraham Waeir ( also spelled Wyer or Ware or Weir on some records) and Abiah Colver Waeir. I recently found records suggesting Thomas to have been married twice, to this date I have never found the name of his son Robert's mother. The second wife of Thomas Waeir was Nancy ?, she was born in NJ in 1744 and she and Thomas had at least 4 children, John, Nancy, Sarah and Timothy Waeir. It appears after the death of Thomas Waeir in 1779 his wife Nancy and children relocated to the (now) Elmira NY area where they are also buried with their husbands and families. Thomas Waeir is my 6th great grandfather through his son Robert Waeir who with his wife Anne Colver Waeir also had a son named Robert (b. 1779/80 NJ) who married a J. (I cant pronounce her first name) Lenah Smelleger or Smellegen. I have a family tree located on both Geni.com and Ancestry.com to which I have added info and sources etc as I locate such and have the time to add it. It is Abraham Waeir, father of Thomas Waeir who has been my road block of sorts for the last 15 years or so, I have his dates of birth, marriage and death, where he married and died his wife's name and family line quite a ways back as well as two of their children (Thomas Waeir and his sister Sarah Waeir Mann married Thomas Mann in 1740's at home of Robert Colver in Waretown NJ later moved to Schooley's Mt. with other family members and is buried there as well) but I have never been able to locate where he was born or any names for parents or siblings. The town of Waretown in NJ is named for him also. If I can be of any help as I also noticed you mention tracing your family please let me know if I have any info that could be helpful I have no problems sharing. Hazel (Waer) Melroy
