Ooops a can of worms
27247516 Thomas 3rd, Son of Thomas Andrews 27248292 and Deborah Burr. Don't forget to put the Jur after the dad's name:) I did more research with transcribed records of the town clerk, no earlier children. Then I looked at the dates again.

The can of worms: What about a couple that published their marriage banns on 20 Sept 1755, married 23 Oct 1755 and had their 3rd son on 1 Apr 1756. Pretty amazing 6 months in Hingham.

Is it possible he was Thomas Andrews 3rd, son of Thomas Jur and grandson of Deacon Thomas Andrews, not the third son of Thomas Jur? Makes more sense to me. In your experience?

Thanks for putting up with me - Chris

RE: Thomas Andrews
Ok, I bow to your experience in these things. I looked at it blown up but my eye did not see the "d". I saw the Junr and the Mrs. Yeah, you see what you want to see... :)

I call the father Thomas Andrews Jr. and the grandfather Deacon Thomas Andrews in my database. The sibling David Andrews Sr. born 1757 is of special interest to me. Not only on my direct line, but my family has a portrait of him and another of his wife that we think were commissioned in 1837. Thus I am starting to re-dig "old" ground.

I will keep you posted. "General" Sam Andrews did some digging before he died in 1889. However you give good advice that I know to be true. Get more than one source. At least one closer to the time.

Best Chris

RE: Capt. Andrews
Contacted Bill. My apologies remembered what to do after I submitted. Thanks for all your entries and being ontop of things. Decided this morning post Eastcoast storm to put some links into Andrews. - Chris

RE: Wessels grave
Thanks for your quick response. Actually those 2 kids are EACH listed twice: once under Wessel and once under Wessels. Also, the one child is William in one and Wilhelm in the other. His dates are the same, though.

I'm afraid that although I knew a lot of the folks in this cemetery, I have no knowledge of what would be correct in this case. For what it's worth, the cemetery directory lists him as William Wessels and the other is listed as Heinrich W. Wessels in plot 153.

Ridgewood Photo request at Ridgewood for Emma Brown
Just a note to say that after a fairly cooperative December, the grounds around here are now snow covered. Your request will probably have to wait until the Spring thaw to be taken care of, but it will get done. Thanks for posting a request with the burial plot information included. It's amazing how many people don't, even though the Notes: section for this particular cemetery states a location is needed and appreciated.
