A Durham, North Carolina native, I've lived in Salt Lake City, Utah since 1974. I've found the Find A Grave web site helpful in researching my family history - mainly 18th Century Scot-Irish immigrants through Pennsylvania down the Great Wagon Road to Virginia and North Carolina.|
I appreciate the work done by others and I'm happy to return the favor by adding content as time permits.
Current work includes cemeteries in Salt Lake County, Utah, Alamance, Caswell, Chatham, Durham, Forsythe, Guilford, Orange, Rockingham and Surry Counties in North Carolina, and Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
My contributions are intended to support you. If you have additional information you would like added to a memorial, I'll be happy to make the update for you. If the memorial is for one of your family members, I would be pleased to make the transfer to your FindAGrave membership.
You are welcome to use photos, but please, credit the photo to me.
In real life, I'm a career airline employee and have enjoyed working with Delta for the past 23 years.

Thanks Perry for offering to transfer them to me.
I have requested their transfers through the edit section of each Memorial. I think this is the quickest way to transfer, since you will locate the memorial the fastest from your contributor page.
Thank you so much. I will update the information as quickly as I can.

Thank you for transferring Anna Ross to me.
I was wondering are you a relative of the Bartelheim memorials at Lutheran Cem. If not would you transfer them to me. I am a descendent of theirs and I have quite a bit of information I would like to add. I would also like to connect them to family members.

Perry, My name is John Sloan. I am researching my family history which includes the Dimick/Dimmick/Dymoke family lines as my great grand mother was Jane Miriam Dimmick. I have contacted you today to ask for another photo for Miluse Park Dimick Find A Grave Memorial# 82074361 as the one you posted is covered in shadows. If you do not have another no problem I will use the one you have already posted.
I read your Find A Grave biography with great interest as I currently live in Pilot Mountain and our last names are the same. I have traced my direct Sloan line back to my 2x great grandfather; Dr Samuel Crockett Sloan b abt 1796 in Pulaski County Kentucky;d 25 Apr 1841 in Palmyra, Marion County, Missouri I have been unable to track him any further back as I have no parents or siblings.... I have been able to trace his wife Pocahantas Rebecca Peyton Harrison family as there were very prominent. From that union 5 children were born If you have an Ancestry.com account my public tree is "Sloan Twigs and Branches" My supposition is that Samuel's mother was Mary Crockett widow of James Duncan who went off with an unnamed man to the bends in the river of Kentucky. That geographic location includes what is now Pulaski County, KY and Sloan's Valley. However I can not get an accurate read on the early settlers that would include her. Other parts of the family traveled from New Jersey to the Jersey Settlement near Linville after their land was swindled from them. Therefore, we have common family histories and may even be connected somewhere. Does any of the information correspond with your research?
Thank you for any assistance,

Thanks so much for the links to their parents. I should have noticed they were also buried at Pleasantville. Let me know if you want me to transfer Sallie and Carrie to you.
