My mother, Corine Carter began researching our family in the 1950's (Canoga Park) and I began helping her in 1973.|
I am so very thankful for all of you who take photos and share them with everyone! Photos validate research and give it visual reality.I believe in sharing all photos, so feel free to use them.
This photo was taken steps from where we live at Sunset Beach, Oahu.

|Janet Tranum||Leota Keller - Pierce Brothers Valhalla Memorial Park|
Leota's daughter, Katherine Francis Smith's death record on the California Death Index stated her mother's maiden name was Allen and her father's surname was Lenson. Also, on Katherine's birth record in St. Louis, Missouri, it stated her mother's maiden name was Allen and her father's name was Henry Lenson.

You're very welcome. I wish I had had more time to search out all the graves---3 out of 9 wasn't a very good return. Hope you all are prepared to suffer through another winter in paradise!
|Nan||Mollie Hilton Newell|
I have added Mollie's maiden name. I am not sure if you are aware, but Find-A-Grave has added a feature where you can edit the name instead of sending a message. It seems to be faster, but either way is fine with me. Sometimes when they add features I do not realize it until someone tells me.
Anyway, thank you for providing the middle name. I appreciate it. Have a great week!!

|janet||L, Roy Ross|
L. Roy Ross memorial # 41115336, Liberty Cemetery, Linville, Union Parish, Louisiana.
I notice that you had a good bit of information on Mittie Mae Roberson. I do understand that the information may not have come from you, but another source. But thought I would check with you anyway.
You listed Mittie's first husband as L. Roy Ross. I am trying to get a bit more information on him. Could the L. Roy Ross of your memorial have possibly lived in West Carroll Parish, Louisiana before he met and married Mittie.
I noticed that his memorial information has him born in 1904, which is the same year as my great uncle. If it is the same person, Lee Roy Ross was born 24 December 1904, not in Mississippi, but in Texas. The family moved to Mississippi by 1907, when my grandmother was born, then on to West Carroll Parish, Louisiana by 1920 census.
Any information would be a great help.

You're quite welcome, ma'am; we're honored to be able to help by walking among all these heroes!
|Bronx Aquarian||RE: photos|
I am a volunteer at Woodlawn currently handling all find a grave inquiries and also e-mail inquiries sent Woodlawn. To do all this work, they allow me access to their computer listing.
They currently do not have anything on line for public use and they charge for copies of internment cards & photos of graves. However many people request info about a relative (grave location) and then post the info on find a grave for a free pictures.
The Bunke has a large plot, with additional headstones. the Asendorf plot is smaller and I think maybe one or two stones.
