I'm willing to photograph tombstones in cemeteries in N.W. Ohio. |
I've been doing genealogy research for over 30 years and have collected a large amount of data.
I believe that the original family data I have makes me the caretaker and not the owner. I'll gladly share what I have with others.
I have a REAL problem with others who are trying to build a mega list of managed sites.
TRANSFERS: With any Find A Grave memorial that I maintain, if you are a closer relative than I, I will transfer. If I have no connection and you have some connection (even friendship), I will transfer.

Hello Jim...As a novice here it was probably my mis- interpretation of the Cemetery sections..Mt Wollaston can be a mis match..I did find The Hayden Monument cntaining the names Benjamin H. Hayden died 2-3-1893 ; Edna Hayden 1826-1913 ; Marietta Hayden died 9-29-1849 age 2 ; an infant son died 9-20-1850 ; Benni F. Hayden 1 yr of age died 10-1-1851 ; Herbert M. Hayden 4 yrs of age died 7-5-1861 ; Samuel Hayden died 4-11-1837 ; his wife Mary R. died 11-3-1875 ; a total of 8 burials...I will add the photos I took today...persistence and understanding pays off..Ed McD

Hello Jim I am going to the Cemetery this morning...I think its possible that the plots are all in the Old Section and the numbers may represent grave #'s and burials...Ed McD

Hello Jim....I was looking at several of the photo requests you have at Mt. Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, Ma. and noticed that in a few of them you have the same plot # (1186) but in different Sections ( 2,3,5,9 ),,,,Could this be a typo.....Some of the associated names are, Hayden, (Frederick, Antionette ); Guest (Winifred); and Steer (Esther)...Also The Hayden names you have requests for at Mt Wollaston for Sect #17, plot #'s 1,4,5,12,13 and 13a, are not the specific Hayden names on those headstones...I have checked them personally (photos taken)..Let me know about the others and I will be happy to pay them a visit...All the best for a Happy Thanksgiving...Ed McDonough

Thanks for the information. Those little family stories are sometimes what makes a person "memorable" after they are gone. It seems every family has at least one person who likes to "stir the pot". My husband's grandmother was like that. She alienated a lot of her own family , as well as, her husband's family. I always thought she was wonderful. She was the only grandmother I ever got to know. She always said what was on her mind, which I liked about her, but a lot of people don't like that. Anyway, thanks for the story!

You posted an obituary on this memorial that states burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Is Cedar Grove and Forest Lawn one & the same cemetery? Just curious. thx.

You are more than welcome. The cemetery is up the street from me. It was well documented by someone several years ago.
