Bio and Links
Bio Photo To honor our passed relatives and friends with memorials on Find A Grave is a great way to reconnect with our families and make contacts with those "long lost" relatives. I feel that truely honoring a person is remembering their life, their passions and their loves and then sharing it with their families and others. This is my main purpose of being a member of Find A Grave. My personal goal is to get my family's direct line documented and "reconnected" as completely as possible. You can find my family descendant's names listed in my "virtual cemeteries".

I have documented many memorials in many cemeteries that are not my relatives. This is the way I "pay forward" the many family memorials that have been documented and/or transferred to me.

My transfer philosophy is simple. If you are a relative AND a closer relative than myself, I will gladly transfer. The only relatives that I will NOT transfer are those families in my direct line. I preferentially reserve non-family memorial transfers for family members but have also transferred to others that share my philosophy and have convincing justification to manage the memorial.

If you find any memorials that are in YOUR direct line or are family members, please request each transfer through the edit tab on each memorial. Please include your name, FAG#, relationship (if any) and justification for the transfer.

Finally, I am not a member of Find A Grave to build my memorial numbers, so please ask for transfers of your family members. Hopefully we can all get reconnected with our heritage as we reconnect our families. Someday my memorial will be on this list and I hope that someone in my family will manage my memorial with dignity and share my heritage and my life's story with my descendants, those that I have loved and those that have loved me.

RE: Rowena Shinn
I would be happy to take over the site for Louie and Rowena Shinn. Yes they are my aunt and uncle.
Rowena is currently in a rehab center in Redding as she fell and broke her leg. She is the last in a family of 6 girls. All but two of them lived to be 95 or older.

Thank you for adding/maintaining my great great great grandparents! It was almost a surprise to see that they were even on here.

RE: Silver Transfers
I would be thrilled if you would transfer them. It is my most prolific line and one of my direct lines, so I will treat them with all the respect they deserve.

Thank you!!

Rowena Shinn
The memorial for Rowena Shinn lists a death date of 2007. I am happy to let you know she is still alive and living in Red Bluff. She is the only living sister in my mother's family.

Louis B. Shinn
Hi there.
I would like to know how you know his is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Red Bluff.
My memorial to him, 47316383, is listed as burial "Unknown". I was doing research on the "Shinn's" for my sister in law at that time. If he is there let me know. I will delete mine and you can add anything I have put on mine you like.
Best regards to you and all yours, Bud
PS I found out about yours from a note from another Find A Grave member. BB

I have an obituary for him from the Daily News (Red Bluff). If you want me to transcribe it and send it to you, you can post. I am not related to him. Steve
