I have been working on genealogy for about 20 years. Both of my parents were from Ontario Canada and their lines trace back to either England or the US. I like being able to help other genealogists as many others have assisted me.
RE: Fisher Memorial lol. Do I ever know how that feels. I spent last winter adding memorials for the people from my tree and then requesting photos. I had over 400 to do so it took months before all the requests were entered.
RE: Re Rev John Allen Hi Loraine It's very easy... go to the person's memorial page, then in the top right corner there is a button "request a photo". Click that button. Then when anyone adds a photo to the memorial page you receive a notice that someone has added a photo. It's a really great feature of Find A Grave.
I was thinking of going to the cemetery next week just to do a walk around and maybe take a few pics. Maybe, before then, you can flag the memorial pages you would like photos of in Jobs Lane, then when I add anything you will be notified. I'd be more than happy to send you my digital photo file via email if you would like of any of your family members. Regards, Patricia
Flagging Relatives P.S. I saw your message to Patricia about flagging relatives. I think she just meant have you submitted photo requests? To my knowledge, that is the only way to "flag" people so you will get notified if a photo is uploaded. Of course, if a photo is already there, then it's not necessary.
RE: Re Ada Emory Unfortunately I don't know. And she predates most of the available records so there is no real way to find out. By 1871, Daniel was married to Catherine (as per the 1871 Canada Census) so Rachel must have died before that. Nothing in the Job's Lane transcript that might be a clue?
RE: Re Rev John Allen Jobs Lane cemetery is on my "to do" list this spring/summer. Have you flagged your relatives in that cemetery, so when I upload my photos you will be notified? Warm regards, Patricia
