I am happy to make the transfer. I wanted to make sure your cousin was in good hands. My health isn't great so it's good to have someone to transfer him too.

I am so happy to find someone who is related to Dempsey. Would you like for me to transfer him to you?

|EJQ||Laymon Pigford linking|
You'll get a "Decline" notice on linking Laymon to his parents. It's because I got a request to link Laymon to Laymon, by accident. I gladly manually linked him, but have to decline just this one.
We all have our "oops" moments, or maybe there was a sun spot somewhere in the Galaxy, that caused the Find A Grave Server to hiccup.
Have a good day.

|Beth Lindsey||RE: Arch McDonald|
Thanks for the info. My mother is Janelle McDonald Taylor. She was the youngest of the 11 children and the only one still surviving. There were 4 girls and 7 boys including a stillborn baby. Several of her siblings are buried at the Chestnut Grove along with my grandparents. Samuel Lawrence, Daisy Maudine ans William Carl are in the same row. Arch, Jr, Bennie Leon, Laura Dell Ross and their spouses are also buried close by. Arch, Jr.'s son, Glen is also buried their. Thomas and his wife are buried at Siloam Baptist Church. My Dad is also buried there. Robert and his wife are buried in Cowan, TN, not sure of the cemetary. The last daughter, Mattie, is buried in Thomaston Cemetary in Thomaston, AL.
The story is told that my great grandmother, Mattie, grieved herself to death after the sudden passing of her daughter, Mary Pearl. My grandmother said she died from a ruptured appendix, I think Mattie passed a year or so after Mary's death. My grandfather remarried a few years later and my grandfather and his brothers took care of their step mother until her death.
My mother still lives on the land that Grandpa Sam left my grandfather. From what I understand, Sam and Mattie's home place is across the road from where I grew up.
Thank you for the information regarding the New's. I have relayed your information to my cousin, Jean Pantel. Her grandfather is Robert McDonald, my grandfathers brother.
She has been working on our family tree.

Just saw where you had left flowers on several. McDonalds in the Chestnut Grove cemetery in Sumter County, Alabama. Arch and Bertha were my maternal grandparents. My great grandfather, Samuel Canady McDonald, is also buried there along with some of my grandfather's siblings. You had also noted that he was your cousin. I have a cousin who is working on the McDonald genealogy and I wondered how were are related. I look forward to hearing from you.

Mr. Partridge was my father in law. Would you please post on his memorial that he was re-interned in the Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio Texas in 2002. Thank you.

Steve, Thanks for your response. It took me about 40 mins to research the problem enough to figure out it was incorrect.
Without people like you and me, . . . well, even we fill the world with "un-facts" sometime.
I have Thomas family in my lineage too. It looks like the Covingtons and the Thomas's are a common interest.
