I was introduced to Find a Grave about 2000 by a cousin. Together we tried to add as many members of our family as we possibly could. It wasn't long before my cousin became the subject of his own memorial page. Eventually, I realized that there was more I could do than just search for my own family. So, I began trying to add photos whenever I could. Recently I became involved in a cemetery project in my area. A friend and I began searching through the hills, bushes and briers for long abandoned cemeteries, adding what we find to Find a Grave. |
Find a Grave is a great site for people who are researching their family. We have made it our goal to do whatever we can to make it the very best it can be.

Would you check the Glass Book for this couple that you give as reference?
Lena B. Hampton on 1880 Census Owen Co., KY. Family says name Lela Hampton d/o Richard N. Hampton and Mary C. Munson Hampton. Mrs. Mary C. Hampton 1883 living near Lemon P.O. Hesler Pct., Owen Co., KY.
Also (Nannie-Nancy) Florence Hampton m. William A. Glass 3 June 1885 KY. They are buried in Ohio Co., Indiana at Olive Branch Cemetery. Also daughter of Richard N. Hampton and Mary C. Munson Hampton.
Trying to find out parents names for the Glass "boys".

All I know is it is close to Turkeyfoot, Scott Co., KY. His land on "Reed Hill". From book reference that I am trying to verify during Civil War he buried his money and no one knows where it was buried. I am sure he dug it up because he lived
through the War.
There are only four known tombstones. One is Nancy Munson Derum-Durham d/o Sanford Munson and 2/w Louisa Butler.
Another cemetery must be Family Cemetery in Harrison Co., KY., probably near Cynthiana, "Hampton" Farm Family Cemetery near (New) Friendship Baptist Church.
Two Hampton brother's Richard N. Hampton and brother
Andrew J. Hampton married two Munson sisters Mary C. Munson and Louisa Ann Munson d/o Sanford Munson and 2/w Louisa Butler. The Hampton brother's parents were Thomas Wade Hampton and Lucy Matthews Hampton who are buried at Old burial Ground of Middle Fork, Harrison Co., KY.
Even Google has a hard time finding these cemeteries.
I can call the Georgetown Library and also in Georgetown area is a Doris Reed fellow genealogist who might know exact location of Ebenezer Reed Family Cemetery.

Thank you Donna for going in there and photographing
all the Munson tombstones in this cemetery. I am looking for William Munson d. 1821 and wife Dicey Ann-Dycey Ann Munson died in 1830's.

I don't think they are the same as Elizabeth Perkins.
It is from the cemetery survey & not everyone has a stone.
