RE: Dillon-McGuire-Willard Cemetery
I am certain we are cousins of some nature. I have a mental block when it comes to figuring it out though. I go by the Johnson Bible School all the time if it is the one I am thinking of off John Sevier Hwy. The wife and I work the East Tennessee Veteran Cemetery in Knox County on John Sevier Hwy keeping it 100% photographed as way of giving back PLUS we are both pre-registered there. We were both sailors, they don't call the females WAVES anymore, when we met in San Diego.

I have not explored the Franklin connection at all BUT I need to so will very soon. My g-g-grandfather, son of Willian Dillion and wife Frances "Fannie" Ann Blankenship Dillion, was born in Franklin in 1805 and died in Fairview, Scott County, VA in 1875. That is where I descend.

RE: Dillon-McGuire-Willard Cemetery
Thank you so very much, I did not mean to imply urgency. I am just south of Knoxville and our weather leaves much to be desired. The wife and I will probably not come that way until there is a nice couple of days next month. Your direction are good but I have sadly become dependent on GPS in my F*A*G searches.
Thanks again.

Dillon-McGuire-Willard Cemetery
Ken---Hello-hope the snow is not too bad where you are. This is a bit of a shot in the dark but I am figuring on making a trip up to Franklin County, VA. to visit my DILLION/DILLON kin. In the early 1800's some moved to Scott Co., VA and that is where I have been doing my research BUT I know they came from Franklin and need to get there and visit my ancestors. I have GPS numbers for 12 family cemeteries BUT would like to include the Dillon-McGuire-Willard. Do you maybe have GPS numbers or directions to the cemetery for someone never in Franklin County?
I do appreciate any help you might be able to provide.

Many thanks,
Maryville, TN

RE: Lynch Cemetery
Dear Ken,
The cemetery is between the towns of Rocky Mount and Gladehill off of Highway 40..... It is on Muse Field Road just East of Dudley Park Drive ..... I have taken pictures with my Smart phone of the roads and towns using the GPS coordinate listed in the profile and can see the cemetery on Google earth. Feel free to message me at And I might be able to get you better directions

Thanks so very much for the photo of Dupree and Victoria Starkey's grave. It is a nice Christmas present for me. My mom talked about him a lot. He was an ancestor of sorts. I think he was mom great uncle. Thanks again. You don't know how much I appreciate your getting this photo.
