Bio Photo Thank you for giving me an opportunity to contribute to this site. It's a fantastic source, if the recorder has the right information. If I have altered dates or names, I apologize. Please contact me and I will make the corrections quickly.
I hope that I will be helpful to someone. I've worked on my family history for over 20 years now and it's amazing the wonderful things a person can learn, that are hidden away in some dusty corner or a dingy file.
When I have used others hard work, I have tried to be courteous and ask for permission to use their information and/or pictures and/or to give credit to them. I want to thank those who have allowed me to use their information, such as the Carroll Co Historical Museum in Delphi, IN and Brad and Ruth Hoggett from the Jefferson and Switzerland Counties in Indiana and other numorous, private individuals. I would appreciate the same courtesy.

Theo Smith
I was just talking with my sister, and she wanted me to ask if you knew anything about Jemina Whitcel who would have been Theo and Cora's grandmother on the Perkins side.

RE: Smith
Diana, thank you so much for my gg-grandfather's memorial.

Theo's daughter Carrie Belle Smith Higdon was my g-grandmother....I remember her well. She passed when I was about 17 years old. Good people.

We have often heard that there was Native American in our blood line - we are assuming through the Smith / Wood line but can't confirm.

My personal email is zhimah7@gmail.com and I'd love to correspond.

Where are you located? I live on the northside of Indianapolis, Indiana.

withams at dupont
116985476 Sent you a couple of private messages, but thought I should clarify. The memorial for Ruby Whitham at Dupont is correct. The ones for Stephen, Ella, Mort and Eva should be spelled Witham. They are two different families. Thanks,Donna

RE: #17605021 - Ralph O'Banion

Thanks for the message on Find A Grave. Ralph Thompson O'Banion was my Dad's brother. I have the original 16 x 20 picture of him hanging in a bedroom at my home, where it has been since 1922 when my grandparents bought this house.

Ralph is buried in the Bunnell Cemetery which is located on the Everett Hensley farm near Monroe. Here is a link to photos that I personally took
of the cemetery, prior to the clean up then after the cemetery was restored. http://www.so-ky.com/cem/hartcem/b/bunnell/bunnell-677.htm

I do not know the contributor called CROW. Whoever that is posted some incomplete tributes on the O'Banion family. Lymond Dee O'Banion was my
father and Ethriedge and Mary Thompson O'Banion were my grandparents.

I'm sorry that I do not add things to Find A Grave very much. On some of the pages, I personally know Euel Coats and Mary Jane (a cousin). Their
information is correct but some information is incomplete.

Thanks for contacting me.

RE: Barnet vs Barnett
Yes. Barnet would be my great great uncle. My great grandfather is his brother Orville George Witham.
Ive been working on my family tree and although I cant make any promises I believe his name is spelled with only one "T" but but i think his grandfather withams name was barnett spelled with two "t's". Also married to a martha.
If you would like a link to my tree that i have so far I'd be happy to share it with you. I just need your email adress. Mine is derek_ketter@yahoo.com . What is your relationship to the witham's? Hope to hear back from you.

RE: Infant Bratcher
Hi,

I don't know him. The last name of Hollis doesn't sound familiar, but that doesn't mean we aren't. I would love to see the photo you have as well.

Thanks for your help!

RE: Thompson cemetery
That's okay, please disregard the last message I sent to you then about directions. I feel comfortable that they are in the correct cemetery at this point. Thanks

RE: Mary Polly Sanders Thompson
Thanks so much for giving me all that info about the gravesite. I'm wondering though if I have them placed in the correct cemetery. The one I have them in looks too well kept (if the picture on there is correct) after all you have told me. There is another Thompson Cemetery on Find A Grave, but it is in Hardyville. I was told by other family that they are near Big Windy. Perhaps I need to create a new Find A Grave cemetery with any directions/address you can give me.
Thanks!!!

Here are the Cemetery notes of the one she is in now:
Cemetery notes and/or description:
From Hardyville, Hart County, Kentucky go 2 miles South on hwy 31-E and turn left onto Bunnell Crossing Road and the cemetery will be one mile on the left across the road from 5965 Bunnell Crossing Road.

RE: Mary Polly Sanders Thompson
Thank you very much, that's exactly right.
I wish I had asked my grandmother more about them when she was living. I was so young and it wasn't something that I was interested in then. So sad when memories cannot be passed on along.
I have wanted to go to the grave site and I just talked about that to my husband last week. We live quite a ways from there, but someday I plan to go. I wonder if there is a gravestone though, whatever is there I would love to get a picture too. Thanks for the heads up about the bees.
I hope you can see the photos on this memorial now. Thank you again.
