I am a university educated historian, genealogist and cemetery buff living in Raleigh, North Carolina.|
My personal genealogical interests are mostly in the Philadelphia area; surnames include Helms, Colflesh, Schick, Henry, Pile, Harned, Stroup and Mowday.
I am also researching my family in northwest Pennsylvania; surnames here include Monago, Monaco, Leone, Monti, Soppelsa, Bonitate, Di Victoria, Da Corte Cavalier, and Maufioe.
My academic research at North Carolina State University focuses on a number of prominant reconstruction-era families in the Alamance County area including Long, Wood and Albright. I'm also deeply involved in research about the Rollin White and Lucius Pond families in Massachusetts.
I do a lot of "row mowing" with my camera and I'm happy to transfer ownership of a memorial to friends and family of the deceased.

This is a duplicate entry for 142368182. That contributor claims that all graves entered in this cemetery cite the wrong location and should be removed. Apparently one cemetery entered as two different ones.

Michael, thanks so much for your prompt handling of the edits, and of course for your cemetery documentations. Much appreciated. :)

Thank you so much for any help. I will see what I can find out. I saw on a web page yesterday with a few Jay's I have been searching for that they were listed as being buried there. It only appeared that there may have been a hand full of people there so as you say, it may be in a rural area and covered up by now. I will see what I can do to find out. Thanks again for your offer to help me. I would be so appreciative for any help. Thanks for all you do! Gwen

Hello, I noticed that you do work in Person County, N.C. and wanted to know if you have ever heard of the Jay Family Cemetery in Person County? If so, could you please take photos or find out how I can get info. on it. I saw on line where several family members are suppose to be buried there. Thanks so much for all you do. Gwen

Thanks so much for the Yancey grave photo!
I wonder how big this cemetery is?
most of the graves seem not to have a photo on findagrave.
