My wife Terri and I no longer volunteer for Findagrave in Washington County Oklahoma. We will continue working on our family and friends. If we have entered a memorial of one of your loved ones, family or friend, let us know and we will always consider transferring to your care. Many of the volunteers in our area have lost interest in the work due to one individual. It is a shame. All of these volunteers have done a good job. None are perfect but have given of their time and effort to provide information for the many burials in this area. We are loyal supporters of Findagrave but we are all volunteers and the verbal, mental and email abuse we have all taken makes it not worth the effort.|

Thank You for the information. I am new at this and still learning.
I had one person on Find A Grave that wanted all kinds of information before they would transfer anyone.

Let me thank you and the other volunteers for your outstanding work in listing the people buried in the Dewey Cemetery. You have over the years helped me many times. Shame on those that caused you or any other volunteers grief with their words and comments. I didnt realize you had stopped the work you were doing until after I had sent my latest message to you. Just know there are many out here that appreciate the time and effort you and others have spent on listing all the graves. All this information has been so helpful to all of us family historians.

Do you have a record of the following relative of mine being buried in the Dewey Cemetery perhaps without a headstone....
Burel "Viola" Audrey Anderson
born 7 May 1911 in Oklahoma

Terri & Richard,
Please accept my deepest and heartfelt appreciation for the contributions you made to Findagrave in Washington County. You made it possible for me and hundreds of others to locate our deceased relatives with a "click of the mouse". You also took the extra time and provided photos of grave markers, which helped with birth and death dates.
I do not know the circumstances you encountered in which your kindness was treated with such disdain as to cause you to cease your volunteerism. I am appalled that anyone would act in any way other than grateful. I have always deeply appreciated acts of genealogical kindness and am indebted to you for yours.

I am sorry to hear you aren't involved with Find A Grave any longer.
I believe that everyone should be remembered, and I am sure you feel the same; it shows in the number of photographs you have taken and the miles you have walked.
I, for one, appreciate all of the work you have done. You have added memorials of my friends and maybe some family members. I thank you for that.
I know you have touched the lives of countless families by your thoughtfulness.
