RE: Re: W. P. Childs
Also confirming the fact that Willis Paul "W. P." Chiles death occurred prior to 1934 is the 1910 census record of his mother which now states she was the mother of 2 children, but with only 1 living in 1910, unlike the 1900 census which shows her having 2 living children:

1910 United States Federal Census
Enumeration date: 15 April 1910
Name: Mary Chiles
Age in 1910: 73
Birth Year: abt 1837
Birthplace: Tennessee
Home in 1910: Lynnville, Giles, Tennessee
Race: White
Gender: Female
Relation to Head of House: Head
Marital Status: Widowed
Mother of how many children: Number born: 2; Number now living: 1
Household Members: Name, Age
Dwelling 107; Family 111
Mary Chiles 73, head, Tennessee

RE: Re: W. P. Childs
Diane & John,

I received a photo many years ago from a Davis cousin for Willis Paul "W. P." Chiles Jr. & it does confirm the 08 October 1901 date of death, which yours is not quite as clear likely due to aging.

This fella is a 1st cousin 3 times removed on my mother's Chiles line, and having done much research, I have no doubt as to his name. It comes up on census records also as W. P., Paul, Childs & Chiles.

His father's gravestone has the full name of "Willis Paul Chiles". Willis Paul Chiles Sr. died 06 Dec. 1861 from "camp fever" and his brother Thomas Chiles & their father Paul Chiles also died from it. Little "W. P." Jr. was only 10 months old when his father died, leaving mother Mary Glenn Chiles with two small sons, the other one William Saxon Chiles, 3 days shy of his 3rd birthday when their father died.

Diane and John,
I see you have three records of Talamantes at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, AZ. Have you come across a Juan Talamantes. He died on November 4, 1923 and I estimate he was born on November 5, 1907. Thanks!

Walter Wagoner
Thank you so much for helping me.

Walter Wagoner was with the 457th Bomb Group and in the 749th Bomb Squadron. So he was actually not in two bomb groups but in Bomb Group and a Bomb Squadron.

I will post you the link to the memorial somewhere next week.

Thank you for helping me again.

Walter Wagoner
Dear Diane and John,

my name is Erwin de Mooij and I am the content webmaster for the 457th Bomb Group Association website.

At this moment I am working on a virtual cemetery/memorial on the website honering all 339 KIA/MIA/KIS of the group.

I saw your picture of Walter Wagoner's grave marker and I was wondering if I could use it for the memorial. If you made any other photos of 457th BG members would I be able to use these too?

Because this is a veterans memorial page on a veterans website I am not able to post a credit with each photo. The only name will be the name of the person who died. I do have a thank you at the bottem of the page thanking findagrave and all it's contributers and photographers. Would this be alright with you?

We would greatly appreciate it.

Best regards,

Erwin de Mooij
