I live in lovely Oregon and I am researching lines: Hamilton and Taylor. I am fairly new at this, just over the past 5 years or so but find it so exciting and interesting.

At this time I cannot do research or photos for others, sorry.

RE: Pelham Cemetery, Van Buren, Shelby Co, Indiana
Thank you for your inquiry. I don't live anywhere near the state of Indiana.

I was visiting the area and looking for my own relatives and followed the maps to get to the little Pelham Cemetery. It was out on a little country road.

While I was there, I snapped a bunch of photos and uploaded them to findagrave just to share.

I took a few shots of the cemetery, which is just a thin strip of farm land between pastures. If you would like those let me know. My email is

RE: William Huntsucker

I was lucky in that I was able to find a photo showing the surrounding area in which William was buried. His grave is located next to the fence, so there is no grave on the left side of his (when facing his stone). The grave to the right of his is that of Lizzie Orr. There is a memorial for her currently on FindAGrave that was created by someone else with a photo of her stone, but just be aware that the memorial currently shows that Lizzie died March 7, 1933 and the photo of her stone shows a death date of March 7, 1919. Unfortunately there is no birth year on the stone only her death date. To the right of Lizzie Orr's grave there is an empty space and certainly there is room for a grave there, but no visible signs that a stone of any kind that has existed in the recent past.

I'm not related to this family in any way, but think that there may be a possibility that Lizzie Orr may have been related somehow. (Are you sure that Elizabeth never married?) The reason that I ask is that in the Washington County, Arkansas marriage records, there is a Miss Lizzie Honeysuck(??), age 34, of Rheas Mill that married John Orr, age 45, of Rheas Mill on September 9, 1883 (marriage bk H, page 45). This may all be a coincidence, but it is an unusual surname and I'm sure it gets misspelled alot. I can email a copy of the actual marriage license if you'd like.

Do you happen to know about when Mary died? Could she have remarried after William died and be buried in the cemetery under a different name?

Best Regards,

Annie Hamilton-Portales, NM
I walked the entire row of the Portales Cemetery and Annie must be in an unmarked grave. Her name is on the list as being in North A, Row 17, space 18. There are several empty spaces in this row. Sorry I couldn't help you. Please remove your request from the Find A Grave website. Thanks. Janelle

Best way is to call the Cherokee Hospital and ask for the cemetery caretaker, I believe her name is Diane.
She may take pictures for you.

Hi There,

I am sorry but I live in Wisconsin. It will probably be a couple years or more before I get that way again.
