Thank you, Betty and Dan! I was thinking about you today. I have a relative of the Molineux/English/Doyle-clan in town visiting. I drove her and her friend to Butcharts and then around Rockland/Fairfield area... thought of you as we passed Ross Bay Cemetery... But it seems you were at Royal Oak! hah! Thanks again for the pic. You guys do great work! And the weather is perfect for cemetery wandering... I would have liked to have gone. Hopefully next time!

Hi Betty and Dan
I haven't been able to find very much info on him at all. I am curious about his cause of death and his movements across state and country borders as he started out in England and went to America and Canada via Australia but I have not been able to find any of those records after Australia. I assume he arrived in America around 1886/87 but that's only going by where and when his children were born. Any info you can send along with the photos would be greatly appreciated.
His widow Mary Ellen Matthews nee Rogers remarried and according to family folklore, also traveled back and forth between Australia and America before finally settling in America. Her three sons (one was my great grandfather) returned to Australia at some stage so I don't know whether this was before or after their fathers death and she was just visiting. There is a family story that she was nasty to her daughter-in-law (my great grandmother).
Any info you have on him would be greatly appreciated as he is a bit of a mystery to us.
