My name is Laurel. I'm married and live in Central Texas. I just recently became involved in several groups on Facebook, Historic Texas Cemeteries and Cemetery Explorers. And also Find A Grave. I just enjoy visiting cemeteries, especially older cemeteries. I find a peace and tranquility there; I also find the history very interesting. I enjoy being able to find graves for other people, the joy that it brings to them. I personally am researching the Ioor/Joor family history after discovering three brothers buried at an old cemetery near my home. I am related to the Jones, Ritchey, Edge and Brymer families in Williamson County and Lee County. I also have my father's family at Pilot Grove Cemetery (Clark, Parker) and Hillcrest Cemetery (Allen) in Bell County. I have not added very many memorials, but I will consider transferring a Memorial to direct family. I hope that I can help you if you need a picture of a certain grave in my area. I'll do my best.|

Not a problem, I have done that myself, doing to much at one time. It does get confusing at times.

After reading your message I think there is a very good chance she is their daughter. I have linked her to the parents you stated.
Thank you for your help.
|Grave_Walker||Laura A. Baker - EDIT REQUEST|
I received an edit request from you to link Laura A. Baker, Find A Grave Memorial# 27313603 to her parents, John Laws Baker, Find A Grave Memorial# 27114493 and Susan Caroline Burton Baker, Find A Grave Memorial #88559998. I was wanting to know your source of information for the request to link her to them. I suspect they are members of my Baker family but still not sure as I havenít found much information on them yet. Thought maybe you would share your source and I could do more research from that. Would appreciate any help you could add to help me in my search.

In answer to your question about this cemetery, The Mills County Cemetery book shows it is located on the L.M. Burney Ranch. "DIRECTIONS: The Blanket Springs Cemetery is located in the NW part of Mills County, near the Brown County Line. From Zephyr, Tx, go East on Hwy 84 to the Zephyr Cemetery, turn South on CR 259. Follow the county road for approx. 4.5 miles to a gate over a cattle guard o the left (East) side of the road. The gate will be locked, and permission is required to go in. Also, a guide will bbe necessary to find the cemetery, as it is 1.7 miles back in a pasture across creeks and over rough road. The cemetery has recently been cleared of brush and most trees, and fenced with chain link."
They show a diagram of the cemetery and it's listings. My scanner isn't working, or I would post that photo to the cemetery page.
I hope this helps.
Mary Baker is listed as #7 on the 2nd row at the front of the cemetery as you go in the gate. This was done by the Mills County Historical Association, who sent people out onto all the sites to document the graves. That is where I got my information on Mary Baker.
|Chris Easley||RE: Acuff Cemetery, Bosque County|
The notes as listed on the Bosque County GenWeb website, do in fact say that the cemetery is on private land. I honestly do not know anything else about this cemetery. At the time that I created the listing and subsequent memorials for Acuff, I was basically looking around for any records I could add to this site, came across the BC GenWeb website and noticed that Acuff Cemetery wasn't listed.
I think it would be great if photos of this cemetery could be obtained. Access to it on the other hand may not be feasable.
Here's a link to the BC GenWeb website:

Thank you very much, Laurel, for the fine information. Itís always helpful if a family member (descendant) can fill-in between the lines. I see that Linda Huff originally gathered her information from death certificates. (Linda passed away in December 2011.)
I now have both Max and Theodore linked as sons of Adolph and Annie. I also added Annie as wife of Adolph.
Do you have more information about a wife of Theodore and any children of either Max or Theodore? I do not put Death Certificates on memorial pages but it is nice to add an Obituary of the deceased if you have any that you could forward to me as text, either Word or PDF?
Thank you again for trying to link all the family together, it is a noble goal and I am happy to help you with that goal. Feel free to use my direct e-mail address for future communications.

Thank you for the Culpepper family information. And, yes please, let me know if you learn anything more about the family. P.S. I'm not related to this family. Please let me know if you are interested in a transfer of management of this memorial to your care. I appreciate you!
|Mary Furgerson||Laura Crow Gatlin|
I have Laura Crow Gatlin at Sadler Cemetery.
You need to contact the person who put her in Warren Miller Cemetery.
|G. Abbott||Nora Jones|
I sent the guy that has her memorial a photo retouch of Nora. Haven't heard back from him, yet, but hopes he liked his surprise.
I have a few more to do, that I have put off, since they were really damaged or bad scans. So I will get those done this week.
I have linked or gotten people to link some of our shared groups.
