I have been interested in genealogy since the 1980s. Now that I am retired, I am very active with local groups/organizations and volunteering for different activities through the local RSVP. I try to devote more time to my "searching" too. With all of the advances for searching on-line now I have found several ancestors and relation that I did not even know about! Since I have become acquainted with Find A Grave, I have found so many of my ancestors. I try to enter as many of my relation and my late husband's relation as possible. I have been entering some of the local cemeteries in Knox Co. and some surrounding counties from information in cemetery books. By doing so I hope it will help others find their loved ones. I try to fulfill photo requests locally as my time allows. While doing this, I also photograph some of the surrounding, deteriorating, unusual, babies, young children, and veteran stones. |
You have my permission to use any of the photos I have taken and have put on this site. I am happy to help others freely in this cause. It would be nice if you gave me credit for the photos I have taken. Of course, it is always nice to be asked; that way you know you are helping people. If someone else provides the photograph for me, I try to give them credit in the photo's caption area. Please take up-close, careful shots of photos on graves! Many may never been seen again, after you leave, as they are quickly disappearing. A family may have no other photo, and may not even know that one existed, if you pass it by. Also please crop your photos so they may be read easier.
PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB OF A PERSON'S MEMORIAL TO SEND ME ADDITIONS AND CORRECTIONS. That way an e-mail comes to me with links to the person's memorial; if requesting links, please provide numbers of the memorials you wish to have linked. I try to check the memorials that I enter so that I do not duplicate any earlier memorials, but sometimes this happens.
I try to follow the Find A Grave rules regarding transfers unless the person is my relation. However, other transfers will be considered.
PLEASE DO NOT ADD BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION OR OBITUARIES IN A VIRTUAL FLOWER per Find A Grave Guidelines.
Find a Grave Guidelines can be found on the left side of this page by "clicking" on "Help with Find A Grave".

|Julia Young||Radia Fields|
Rita, I have contacted Garry Nail about his duplicate memorial for Radia Fields but I don't think he's going to delete it. She is his relative and she's mine as well and I'm also a contributor.
|Peggy Mefferd||Adam and AJ Wilson|
I was able to talk to Sharon and she is looking to see if she has anything that might help. Thanks again.
|Carolina Grave Hunter||Narissa Stewart|
Thank you very much for taking your time to go to the cemetery, locate her stone and upload the photo on this site. The stones one day will not be readable.
Have a wonderful day!!!
|Peggy Mefferd||AJ Wilson|
As I was looking at the find a grave entry for AJ Wilson at Upper Indiana Cemetery I noticed the information there was given by a Sharon Edmonson and she took it form the Cemetery records. I have tried and tried to find burial information for Upper Indiana Cemetery and have never been able to find it. Is there a way to contact Sharon Edmonson to get more info? Thanks. OH- I believe that AJ Wilson was the brother of my Adam H Wilson. Both were married to McClure sisters.

You have used all 5 available photo spaces for Dr. Tindolph's grave site. Do you think that it's possible to remove one of them so that I could post a photo of Dr. and Mrs. Tindolph? Thank you for your consideration.

Please delete your memorial #91943355 as it is a duplicate of Sarah's memorial #41248399 created on 28 Aug 2009, long before your entry. It is understandable how this could happen as I have personally overlooked some entries myself and entered a duplicate which I had to delete later.
Thank You and God Bless

|Katlee||William and Lulu Goodwin duplicate?|
You sent me this message:
Believe this is a duplicate of 63125290. You can ask for a transfer since it's your grandparent and then make your corrections and additions.
What is the best way to do that? Looks like the other was added a few years ago? Are they even ever going to get a message from me?
Thanks for all you do!

|Linda Y||Vincennes City Cemetery|
noticed Fairview is included as Vincennes City Cemetery. Difficult to not duplicate memorials. Glad to see you helping add to add to Ancestry there. We stopped by there today. Big cemetery. Also looked at the Catholic cemetery. Linday
