Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired Huntsville Alabama Police Officer. I have been a student of local history for many years. My main interests lie in Alabama Civil War Units. One of the saddest things about the Civil War was that so many young men left home and were never heard from again. Their families never knew how or where they died or where they were buried. Thanks to the work of many Findagrave contributors, I have reunited many of these brave men,if only in a virtual cemetery. These cemeteries are a constant work in progress and a tedious undertaking. If you have a relative that has not yet been included, please let me know and it would be my honor to add them. I welcome any and all info on any of my memorials and am always happy to transfer your kin folk. If you visit the memorial of any of these brave men, please honor them in any way you see fit. Whether or not you believe their cause was just, does not matter. What matters is that men from both sides fought and died protecting the only way of life they had ever known. "Alas! In how many Southern homes aching hearts waited through weary months for news of loved ones that never came until the suspense was replaced by the real certainty that the absent one had helped to swell the unknown dead of the Wheatfield, the Peach Orchard, or the Devil's Den of a Northern land."--J. Howard Wert. Sometimes I come home from work with a sore back or tired feet or maybe even a headache. Then I think of a 18 year old boy lying wounded in a dark field. He's hundreds of miles from home. He's thirsty, hungry and cold. He's crying for his Mama. Or I think of Robert and Sarah Milling, of Dallas County, who lost their five sons to the Confederate cause in the 20th Alabama Infantry. Suddenly, I don't feel so bad afterall.

Hutch, A new Find a Graver has claimed four requests out at Valhalla.
Are you still at the cemetery?
She is wanting to get started in documenting graves, and what better way to start that w/ your cemetery.
Her find a grave # is above. Would you please help her like you have in the past??

Thank you Hutch, it is done and looks great with all the flowers. I typed in the space it was photographed by you and gave me permission to add it to her memorial. You can see it when you click on the photo and it enlarges. If you want to go there and take a look the memorial #60101156 and her spouse you photographed #13431888. Thanks again and be Blessed.

Thank you Hutch for the quick responce. Yes, you are right about the name difference, that would trick anyone. I could upload a copy of the one you took for the spouse. They share the same headstone, if you don't mind my name being on added by person. I could type on the info space you are the photographer and gave me permission to
add it. Just let me know, ok? Thanks again.

I know with all the memorials you have to manage and photos to take, it is easy to make errors. I do the same and so does everyone else. I have a favor to ask. Would you delete this memorial you have created that is a duplicate? The Sharps are my Ancestry line from my Father's side. (Worley)
This is a duplicate of Mary Catherine Fain Sharp,
#60101156 in same Rice Cemetery. Created by Trusvan 2010, who also created her husband's memorial, Rev. Leslie Leon Sharp #13431888 in 2006.
They share the same Headstone, which you photographed. Before you delete your duplicate, would you move the Headstone to her memorial? You already have Rev. Leslie's on his memorial. I would greatly appreciate it.

RE: Transfers...
Hutch...Question: I have received two messages on my personal eMail from a Nancy Price and a Sherry Cook. When I click on the LIVE link to the messages on Find A Grave they take me to my "Contributor Page" with the rest of my messages but they are not there. Is there some other place I need to look...I'm confused and at a loss as what needs to be done next...I have also tried to find them by using their Find A Grave member number and the numbers don't work either...??????????? Randy

I guess this is a question...? Rj

Camp of Destruction
Hello Hutch,

I see so much work you have put into all of your
cemeteries. You are to be congratulated..However, I am not familiar with Camp of Destruction. When you have a moment could you explain it to me?

Thanks, LeeAnne
