 | RE: Walter F Bartlett Hi Donna --
Thank you for your contributions. I am not related to Walter Bartlett. As you noted on his page, he was killed in a traffic accident.
On August 24, 1956, near Wall, South Dakota, a two-vehicle accident killed nine people. At the time, it was the worst traffic accident in South Dakota History. One vehicle contained a family of six on their way to a family wedding. Of the six, only a 7-year-old girl survived the accident. The other vehicle contained four University of South Dakota students. Walter Bartlett was the driver of that car, and they were also on their way to a wedding where Walter was to be an usher. They were all fraternity brothers of my father, and they were on their way to my parents' wedding. It seemed appropriate to sponsor their graves.

 | RE: 97158110 Thanks. I didn't know it was a duplicate probably because the surnames were different but yes it is the same individual and was started before I posted my memorial. All of the information I had plus more is included in either the written bio or on the attached image so I have deleted Memorial #97158110. Thanks again.Added by Jeanjo on Jan 30, 2013 5:03 PM | | | Becky Smith Helm
 | Manatawna Mennonite Cemetery Hi. I was trying to verify the above cemetery and was unable to find it on google or epodunk. Do you have an address for it? Does it still exist, etc? Thanks! | | | Rhonda Mills

 | I found it! look at findagrave # 83072171 William Werth. Click on the Werth Cemetery and see the directions. It is located near where the Patrick Springs Hotel used to be. William Werth owned it at one time. | | | deegraver
 | Stafford Jarrett All i know is on his death certficate it says he is buried at the Martin Family Cemetery, Patrick Springs, VA. Do you or yor dad remember him being buried there? are there any other Martin family cemeteries in the Patrick Srings area that you know of? thanks for adding the info to the opening page. I too had someone buried near the retreat now at the site of the old Patrick Springs Hotel, but I can't remember who he was. I do remember he was a Confederate Soldier and I did have a photo of his gravesite on his memorial page. If I find it, I will let you know. It sounds like the same cemetery to me. | | | | [View all messages...] |
