I have been interested in genealogy for many years. I was fortunate to have had a great grandfather and great uncle who did extensive research back in the early to mid-1900s when getting information required letter writing, travel and research to get things done. I commend them on their determination to find and accumulate facts about relatives and their lives in years past. |
Any photo I have posted on Find a Grave is intended to be used.... Please feel free to use them in personal use and documentation of your loved ones.
I hope my listings help other people in their genealogy efforts.
Thanks for having an interest in the history of our families. It is something that becomes more and more important to me as time inevitably goes on.
I gladly transfer any of the memorials that I have created when the person is not my relative or if you are a closer relative than I am.

Thanks for the transfer of Keren Duty.
Also, thanks for your generosity in sharing your photos. We have done genealogy in this way for many years.... anything we find is to be shared. We have received much from those who have gone before us and given freely of their work.

She is my 3rd Great Grandmother. Yes, I would be happy to manage her memorial. Finding her grave was wonderful! Thanks so much for making it available for all of us. This has added much to my search. I didn't know where she was buried. Her daughter and her granddaughter (my Great Grandmother) came West to Washington Territory by wagon, after her husband, John F. Duty, died in Illinois. We dont know where he is buried.

Had to go back and read your messages so I could remember the problem. I'm still confused. Looks like Lucy is listed at Mt. Zion and also Pennington.
But I see Keith C. has added a stone photo for Lucy at Pennington. Also saw you left post-it notes on the WPA listings for Lucy, so you know about them. I am not related so I don't need the info you have. Thanks,

Thanks for the response. I respect your wish to hold the memorial - it is in good hands.
I do not have my ancestry tied to find a grave.
Here is how we are related, my gg grandmother was Sarah Elizabeth Cuppy (Turner) grandaughter to Aaron Cuppy. She was a 1/2 sister to your Hayden Bridwell Cuppy.

I see you took alot of pictures at collins cemetary last year. I am interested in Vashti and William Wallace. Did you not Take photos off all the stones or did you not find one for them? Thank you, Tim
Thank you so much for the headstone picture.

I agree the photos are better. Thank you for going to all that trouble. I have 2 questions for you since you actually saw the tombstones hopefully you were able to make it out. On Arrod V which turns out to be Arod V but there is an additional initial. Can you tell me what that is and also on James' can you make out the initials of the father? Should be A. I. but hard to determine in the photo. Hoagland is readable, no problem.
I cannot begin to tell you how thrilled I was to get the message that these photos had been taken. The request has been on there for a long time. Thank you so much for doing this. Marji
