|I'm a retired high school history teacher and have been searching for ancestors for approximately 35-years. While I am not a certified genealogist, I have taught beginning genealogy courses at a local junior college and have published several articles related to genealogy. One of my goals with Find A Grave is to help peop1e find family and create accurate trees. I'm more than happy to share information with others or correct any entries I've made provided proof is provided justifying the correction.|

If you come across a Charles Frank Williams (or Frank Charles Williams) who married Harriet Butner, that would be the one I'm working on. He stated on the 1860 Pettis Township, Platte Co. census states he was born in North Carolina. He died before the 1870 census was taken as Harriet and two children are living with her parents. The third child, Thomas Henry (my gr grandfather), is living in Kansas with a Butner uncle. Harriet married James Elliott and later moved to Washington state.
1890 Veterans Schedule, Tampico, Yakima County, Washington, Harriet E Elliott widow of Frank Williams, Private, Company E, 5th Kansas Cavalry, killed at Little Rock, Arkansas.
Private Williams, Franklin, Enlistment Date 27 Jan 1862, Muster 29 Jan 1862, transferred to Co. K 4 Nov 1864. Co. K says mustered out 27 Jan 1865.

I have one Williams line that came from Morgan Co., OH right after the Civil War that settled in Nodaway Co., MO, and the other one came from North Carolina about 1850 and settled in Platte Co., MO. Bev

Cool - are you related on the Hodges or the Rathbun side? Can you email me the complete picture. Looking at Permelia, there is a bit of a resemblance to her daughter Sarah (Alwood), my great-great-grandmother.
My email is toocats @ att . net

Is a copy of the entire picture that is shown on Israel and Permelia Hodges memorial available somewhere? They were my 3rd great-grandparents.

Hi Deb.. I'm glad that I was able to help.. and I was also going to ask my friend that sends me the cemetery listings if she could check her records for Heritage to see if there is any sort of information within Dorcas's blurb regarding the husband.. alot of the records will contain info on spouses especially if they are buried elsewhere.. I'll get back to you if I learn anything new about 'Archy's' whereabouts..

Hi Deb.. I noticed that you hold and have had several of the Dick memorials transfered to your care.. Would you like me to transfer Nancy's husband George Washington & their daughter Margaret to your care as well?? I am not related and wouldn't mind handing them off to you..

I noticed that you added a picture to this memorial for James Vannice. He is the 2nd great-grand-uncle of my stepsons. I would love to see any other pics you may have and, with your permission, I would like to add it/them to their tree. May I ask how you are related? Thank you for creating this memorial.
