|I'm a retired high school history teacher and have been searching for ancestors for approximately 35-years. While I am not a certified genealogist, I have taught beginning genealogy courses at a local junior college and have published several articles related to genealogy. Two of my latest sketches (Edmond Jenks and Elisha Arnold) have been published by NEHGS and can be found in the "Western Massachusetts Families in 1790" database on Ancestors.org. |
One of my goals with Find A Grave is to help peop1e find family and create accurate trees. I'm more than happy to share information with others or correct any entries I've made provided proof is provided justifying the correction.

|Steven Lake||RE: Jennie / Jane Vernier Green|
Thank you for your vigilance. Sorry that the Vernier's are so challenging. I looked through my edit requests on F.a.G. and couldn't find one for Jennie/Jane and her parents, but that's not to say I wasn't the culprit in the first place. Glad to help out, especially if it was my fault.
Jennie/Jane is the first person of French descent I have found connected to my line. She is my maternal grandfather's sister-in-law. I'm thankful I have learned more about her and I'm glad you have a partner in Kay.

I hope you don't mind that I added a couple more photos of Sandra's grave. It's so beautiful I had to photograph it. I love the stained glass mosaic. She must have been very loved.

Thank you for the information. I unlinked them. I will do some research to see if I have a chain of bad links.
Just a note that two McFarland girls married two Jenks. Shubael and Jesse Jenks line.

I could only link Marcella to Bennett Robens. Joel D will have to be contacted for linkage to children. Are you related? We have no info on children of Adeline and WW Walters. I am researching the McFarland line and would share any info you would like on this.
|Connie Chrisman Hatch||Mary Kohl|
I have linked Mary and her father.
|Connie Chrisman Hatch||Charles Kohl|
I have made links to his parents and added his wife's maiden name. Thank you for this information.
|Eileen||RE: Oops...it happened again|
I will look into it through my own family tree and through the Sherman Directories after I finish my current project. You know how it goes when you stop and then have to regroup when you return. If I don't get to it today I will work on it in the morning before I go to work. Again, I am a stickler for things being right. Thanks for the heads up, I hope you can get your on going frustration taken care of.

|Eileen||RE: Achsah Sherman Jenks link request cont|
I just sent you a note through the memorial and gave you my email and a suggestion on how to fix the problem. I hope it can be corrected. I know the Sherman's of Yaxley newsletter well.

|Beverly Williams||RE: Williams Missouri|
If you come across a Charles Frank Williams (or Frank Charles Williams) who married Harriet Butner, that would be the one I'm working on. He stated on the 1860 Pettis Township, Platte Co. census states he was born in North Carolina. He died before the 1870 census was taken as Harriet and two children are living with her parents. The third child, Thomas Henry (my gr grandfather), is living in Kansas with a Butner uncle. Harriet married James Elliott and later moved to Washington state.
1890 Veterans Schedule, Tampico, Yakima County, Washington, Harriet E Elliott widow of Frank Williams, Private, Company E, 5th Kansas Cavalry, killed at Little Rock, Arkansas.
Private Williams, Franklin, Enlistment Date 27 Jan 1862, Muster 29 Jan 1862, transferred to Co. K 4 Nov 1864. Co. K says mustered out 27 Jan 1865.
