I have been researching my family history for many years and am fascinated with cemeteries. I love the old headstones. They were so unique.|
I started adding information to F.A.G. from obituaries my aunt had kept on people she knew. It progressed into trying to complete as many cemeteries in the area as I could.
If I have created a memorial for one of your family members; please let me know and I will transfer it to you.
I don't mind my headstone pictures being used; but, I would appreciate being asked first and to be given credit for taking the picture. It is only common courtesy. I spend a lot of time and gas in documenting the rural cemeteries in this area and don't appreciate those who think I am petty because I expect to be given credit for the work I do.
With the new "Edit" function, I can't guarantee the accuracy of the information on my memorials anymore. It has it's good and bad points.

|Norma Rae ||RE: Harvey and Georgia Waldrop|
Yes, I'd like to have Georgia's memorial. I loved her dearly. Thank you. Norma Waldrop Unger
|Norma Rae ||Harvey and Georgia Waldrop|
Yes, they were married. They are my grandparents on my dad's side. They were, however, divorced (I believe). At least I was told that Grandma Georgia told my dad Von to hitch up the wagon and they, with Grace, took off (after borrowing a little cash from the grocer). They ended up in OK, and Von's brother Guy went there too. So Harvey eventually ended up there as well. However, one of his kids, Ruth, told me he was a son of a bitch. Not only did he not like kids, he didn't like people. He had some woman living with him by the ''40s, she said. So he was not a widower from Georgia, as she didn't die until 1972. I have another photo of Harvey in his later years, but I LOVE this one. Who added it? I also have one of Georgia when young--so beautiful--and one of them with the 4 kids. Like most of the Scots-Irish, he was a bare knuckle boxer. This is about all I know, as of 2015. Just getting started, but this is all family knowledge told me.

I wanted to thank you for adding my great grandparents. I seen where you would be willing to give the family members who want the memorials, I guess I'm saying is would you mind transferring my great grandparents to me. I would be extremely thankful.
Hi. I think we may have talked before about the Henry Buehler family buried in Union Hatchett Cemetery at Bessie, Okla. I sent you an edit request because some of the daughters are listed with the maiden name spelled Beuhler instead of Buehler. You can look at the parents grave if you'd like to verify that Buehler is the correct spelling.
Thanks. M.L. Walker

Linda, I kept the 1856 but noted your information in the bio. I will see if I can find any other record to break the tie, so to speak. ~~laugh~~ I have found that death records and stones often disagree.
Thanks and have a great day,

I got the obit from [Ray & Martha's Funeral Homes] as the bio states. I do not correct the publisher info. You should contact them and tell them they made mistake... I would correct if you told me what the proper names of sisters are.. I do want everything correct.
|Gayle||Sarah Friese Bottom|
Sarah Friese Bottom lived in Gotebo most of her life. Her obit says she was Secretary at a Church in Gotebo for many years. Married to Grayson Foster Bottom in 1904. Her siblings obits shows her in Gotebo from at least 1946-1972. Believe she lived there from before 1920. I have a photo at the Gotebo Fair. She is buried at Mountain View. I have always wondered how Grayson Bottom died. Heard that Burnett was shot in the back - would there have been like maybe some kind of camp where lots of people worked and lived? How are the death certificates in OK for that time period? Guess I need to look into that.
Thanks for any help. Love the obits you've posted.

Thank You so much for the obituaries you have added to the Friese Family. I appreciate it so much. The obituaries are so important as they give depth to their lives. I was wondering would you have ever run across any article on Burnett B. Bottom? ,He was Sarah Friese Bottoms son.. He died young, I used to hear stories from my grandmother, Sarah was her niece, as she lived in Gotebo when young, before returning to MO. If you ever find anything on Sarah or her son please email me, as I'd love the information. email@example.com
Thanks for all your wonderful work. I loved reading your additions.

I follow the Find-A-Grave guidelines regarding the transfer of memorials. Any transfer requests should only be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
