I enjoy discovering the awesome sculptures and engravings that are left in the memory of loved ones plus reading the local history. I am never without a camera!

RE: South End
I am going through one newspaper, 1900-1923, day by day. Incredibly time consuming but fascinating. Finding loads of interesting stuff. Wish more people had the time and interest to do it.

South End
I'm very interested in getting more of South End entered on Find A Grave. If you have photos of graves you'd like for me to make memorials for, let me know.

I've been pushing people on SE since it had fewer than 500 memorials. Up to over a thousand now, but there is a long way to go.

I see you've been busy adding other photos as well. Thank you-South End has been overlooked for a long time. Are you in Bamberg?

Braxton family
Hi Ester, thank you for the photos of the Braxton family plot.
The Braxtons are distantly related to me by marriage. I have sent your email to the only family member I know. I can tell you what she'll do about this-nothing.
I'll see if my aunt Jeanette Driggers has an idea for us. I live in Chicago, so grave cleaning in Bamberg isnt happenin'.

RE: Elmer Steinbraker
Thank you. And yeah, it is a sad thing. Me and my dad were as close as can be. Every night, I'd tell him and my mom goodnight, that I loved 'em, and I'd see 'em in the morning. And again, thanks. I know finding out the truth would help my mom now, too. As for the Wilsons buried at South End - or any family - if there are shots with trees in the background, you can use google maps and zoom in and find pretty much close to where someone's buried. I did with some of the Smoaks there. And my dad's name was Aaron Elmer Steinbraker, named after his dad. Thanks for the offer of if I need anything. Take care.
