We are a retired Navy couple, so please let us know if there is a military headstone you need that is in our area, will make sure you get it...
We are working on getting the GPS locations and pictures of the Prince William County area cemeteries. if you need anything, just let us know.
NOTICE: If you want to use any of my photos that we have posted on Find A Grave, you are welcome to do so as long as it is for genealogical research and is neither immoral or illegal. We keep the original, higher resolution pictures for all pictures we take in our county and are very willing to share them upon request.
Transfer Requests... It seems many folks don't have any manners when it comes to requesting a transfer... The people who send rude/demanding correction requests also need to learn some manners if they want the changes made. Yes, mistakes/typos can happen. Acting like it is your right to be rude and demand changes about it is uncalled for.
Remember: Genealogy without documentation is mythology!
Robert Francis Bacon I was wondering if I could copy one of your image for my genealogy file. With your permission, I would also like to post it on my genealogy FB page: "John Harrison Sarah Lovell" with the notation: Source: Marie and Dale V. at Findagrave.com. The picture is the grave marker for Robert Francis Bacon (bottom picture). Robert is related to me through his great-grandmother Ann Hood Harrison (married Thomas H. Bacon). Ann Hood Harrison descended from John Harrison and Sarah Lovell who emigrated to Nova Scotia from Yorkshire, England in 1774. Thanks! Randy Harrison, Truro Nova Scotia, Canada
RE: Elizabeth Villars Cree Photos You are very welcome. I enjoy locating the old stones especially. Feel free to use my photographs for your purposes (I really should leave a comment on my profile page inviting anyone to do so). You may also be interested in memorial 86679729 for Elijah Cree. I assumed he was a relative of Elizabeth's based on proximity. Good luck with your research.
William Wilkins #104100755 Thank You for sponsoring his memorial. Are you related to him? His connection to my family is through marriage of a distant cousin. I will be glad to transfer his memorial if you are related to him.
She and her Rookwood family are ancestors of mine and I have done a great deal of research on my Rookwood family. I haven't seen memorials for her parents yet, so I was wondering if you wouldn't mind adding their names in the Bio section in her memorial?
Her parents were Robert Carter Rookwood and Mary Ann Kenard and her grandparents were Thomas Rookwood and Sarah (Calvert) Rookwood.
Often timed the surname was misspelled in documents as Rookard and I have seen both spellings used in the same document.
Thank you in advance for any additions you may add to her bio.
Gercie Ann Killen The Killens are in my family. The name and dates on the stone for Gercie do not match the memorial. Perhaps you have a different picture. I appreciate your work. I, too, enjoy taking pictures and contributing to Find A Grave. Thanks.
