Born in Akron, Ohio, my wife and I are living in Fairfax, VA. I am the Operations Director for WFAX radio, www.wfax.com. I have been working on our family tree since the 1970's, along with my oldest brother Ray and my sister Casmere. Among the surnames in our family tree are: Woolfenden, Lynch, Abel, Paschall, Watson, Hilliard, Lynn, and Bailey on my side of the family. On my wife's side, we are working on the Ehlke, Curtiss, Nichols, and Krugman. I am a member of the Sons of the Union Veterans of the American Civil War.
William Lynch father of 34 children We have a FB page where we are gathering descendants and comparing notes, sharing photos and stories. I would love for you to join us. We have descendants from Laxton, Jarratt, Grief, Gray, Meredith and James H. so far.
RE: Edmond Woolfenden and Estella Woolfenden Ware Hi Raynee, I placed an edit suggestion on each of their Find A Grave pages immediately after loading the photos. Go to your 'Edits' tab on your member page and approve the edits, which includes their plot location. After you approve the edits, the plot will turn up in the proper place on their pages. You need to keep an eye on that tab. Find A Grave does not message you when there are pending edit suggestions. Good luck, and glad you liked the photos, Dan Phelan Baltimore
RE: Rose Mary Nichols You are very welcome. It was an honor and a pleasure to take the photograph for you. My sister and I were wondering about the number as well. If you find something out, we'd appreciate if you could share that information. I just love seeing pictures of family! To see what they looked like in their day. So wonderful! Have a blessed day!
I'm sorry I did not respond sooner - I was on an extended vacation. In my conversation with the cemetery, I discovered that their records are all by who owns the plot - NOT by who is buried there! So Julia may be buried there but in a plot that was owned by an ancestor (hers or her husband's) with a different surname or even by a friend who informally "sold" the plots to her and her husband. The cemetery is apparently trying to get their records cross referenced by name but money is their issue. The other possibility is that the person looking on my behalf just missed it.
Abell Graves at Rock Creek Hi, I was at Rock Creek cemetery this morning and photographed the graves of Bryan and Florence as requested. I will be posting them shortly. You also asked about any other Abells buried there. I also have photos of these graves:
Frank 1932-1979 Robert 1930-1954 Bryan Jr. 1928-1954
If memorials for these three are on the site I'd be happy to post the photos if you just put out a request. Ron
