I am a native Virginian who has been interested in family history since I was a young college student back in the late 1960s. Mostly, I have worked on my mother's side of the family off and on over the years - which involves the surnames Croushorn (Kraushaar), Lambert, Switzer, Swartz and others. |
My father's family (Heflin) is so numerous it's not really been possible for me to make much progress in it when I have worked on it; however, I know some things about it and associated names such as Kane and Kearnes (Kerns).
I am not really a researcher. I come here to write up what I know about family members who have passed on and to post some pictures if available. I also enjoy posting memorial flowers at the surnames of those with the above last names and have done so in all states for some and a few states for others. Please do not write to me expecting to get a lot of information because I don't have a lot. I am not a researcher or amateur genealogist really; I've just dabbled in it over the years.
As for transfers, there are just a few of the persons' graves I manage that I would consider transferring because most are such close relatives. A few I have done for others mainly in case someone wants to take them over later.
Thanks. Marylin Rumph (M. Faith Heflin Rumph)

I am related to Florence Rumph in the Daytona Cemetery. I have an Ancestry.com tree I would be happy to share with you. I am in contact with her living descendents. - Janis

I looked at the sight. It's not your flower adding a picture. I checked where the pictures are and it says to check out more. I clicked on it and there are headstone pictures so that's why there are 5.

Hi Marylin, I'll check about the flower, it shouldn't be counted as a picture.

Hi, I'm James Johnson Kane's great great granddaughter. I noticed your name at the bottom right of the site. I think it's being counted as a photo so no more can be added. This is all new to me. Do you own this site?

She had 3 kids boys one pass before 1910 I think. The other pass in Logan W.V. I think they all at the same cemetery.

I made the transfer. Enjoy:)
Marylin, I see you have a couple of notes from Judy Dishon about Switzer's. I am trying to find out if the ones Judy has are also our Switzer's. I saw where you had left flowers on the memorials on Find-A-Grave #64389678 and #22994938 are these our Switzer's also?
Please let me know so I can add to our tree as I am having a hard time trying to tell if these are ours.

Marylin, If you were talking about John Haffner Switzer 1822-1906 and his wife Rebecca Lambert 1821-1906 then you and my wife are related as follows.
Beulah Cullen Bartlett daughter of Hezekiah Cullen whose wife was Bertha Ellen Switzer 1876-1951 and her father was Samuel Switzer 1850-1906.
Would love to share info/pictures of the family.
