Started doing my local cemetery and after finding several Civil War vets I thought it would be interesting to look for Revolution and Civil War burials in Dearborn Co. Indiana. That in turn has turned into finding pioneer and forgotten burial grounds in my area also. Will transfer most memorials unless they are my ancestors. Corrections are appreciated, nasty grams are not.|
If anyone knows of a Civil War burial, [or Revolutionary War] vet in Dearborn County IN. that I have missed please let me know.
If you want to use photos I have taken ok, just give me credit.
We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

|Midge Taylor||Good job|
Justin, I love what you said about being among the "chosen" to find people. Bless your heart. I too have that same calling, only now I am too disabled to travel, and unable to visit each place.
The work you are doing is invaluable to thousands. I know you will meet on the other side all those who want to thank you for what you are doing.
Keep doing what your doing. Gentle hugs from an old lady in the distance.

Thank you for the posting giving Elwood Houze's military service. He was an ancestor of my husband's.

I think we will be in your area in early September. Do you have a private e-mail I can reach you at? Thanks,

I haven't heard from you in quite awhile! My dad and I are planning on visiting Ohio County in the near future and I noticed that you have a virtual cemetery for Ohio county. Is this a comprehensive list of all of the veterans buried there? I noticed that there were only 80 names. In our county we have over 1,200 Civil War veterans buried. Is the low number because it is such a small county? Thanks for your help, as always.

Sgt. William Frank Griffith (35794499) was my wife's GGGGfather. I'm hoping you know where the birth and death information on the memorial was obtained. Please let me know if you get a chance.
|Philip Warren Rupp||transfer of my Great-Grandfather's gravesite|
My name is Philip Warren Rupp. William Rupp, buried in East Fork Cemetery, is my Great-Grandfather. My "DAD" was very proud of his Grandfather; as I am, of the both of them. My near future plans are to replace his wife's and three daughters missing stones. My Parents took me this cemetery many times over the years. Very sadly, they too, are both gone; but I still stop to pay my respects to my Great-Grandparents and my Great Aunts buried at East Fork. It would mean a great deal to maintain my Great-Grandfather's gravesite. Am also going to add his biography. Thank You in advance for your kindness. Very Sincerely, Philip W Rupp
