I am so sorry that I have not been active for quite some time now. My husband passed away after a courageous battle against a cruel cancer. I will get back to all of you as soon as I am able. Thanks for your patience & understanding. |
I started out looking for one of my grandfather's grave & information about his military service. I discovered family on both sides were not listed anywhere. When I found findagrave.com it helped me find some of the cemeteries & some family members. I've made trips to a lot of the cemeteries. Armed with more dates I went to the library archives to find obituaries. I can see that this is going to be a long process but it is fascinating & so easy to get caught up in. I am grateful for this site! It has helped me get started in the right direction.
I am looking for the "Catlett's" (Dan & Isabelle, Harry & Rosie) Gore, Va & Capon Bridge,WV area; "Slonaker's" (George & Catherine, & Isabelle)Capon Bridge, WV & Gore, Va area; "Bowley's" (William & Isabelle), Gore, VA area? "Dunlaps" (Jeremiah & Ida) from the Gore,Va & surrounding West Virginia areas; and for the "Miller's" (Herbert & Bessie, Charles & Virginia (Jennie) ; "Dellinger's" (Ephriam & Minerva, & Bessie) from Wardensville, Hardy County, WV area; as well as the "Breeden's", "Hurts", & "Grave's" from around the Madison County and Frederick County, Va area. I recently found a couple more, quite by accident, but would love to hear from anyone who may know of any of these people.
P.S. Please, when you'd like a grave transferred to you, do so through the findagrave link, so that I can transfer it. I will gladly transfer those that are not my family.

Hi, I have recently been taking pics at Branch Mountain Cemetery, and just noticed the headstone and military stone have different birthdays for Curtis. One is May 10 the other is May 20, both are 1920. Just thought I would pass the info along, in case you want to add it.

|K. Elizabeth||Barbara Rinker|
I just joined and am not sure how this works, but am wondering if you knew Barbara Rinker. I went to school with her in Maryland and lost track of her. I and some friends are trying to find out more about her early death and possibly her daughter. Thanks for any information you can pass on.

Anita ~ Do you have a good route to get to King Cemetery from Critton-Owl Hollow Road? Also is the cemetery closer to Paw Paw or Slanesville? Thanks, Ralph
|Denise Dove||Ephriam Dellinger|
Hi, Are you still looking for information on Ephriam Dellinger son of Abraham Dellinger and Sarah Catherine 'Sager' Dellinger. I found marriage licenses and registers of his 2 marriages. My paternal line comes down through his sister Mahala 'Dellinger'Link. Maybe we could share information. I am on here and Facebook- Denise Dove- Rio, WV. Thank you!
|Joseph Fox||George W Catlett|
Hello and good afternoon.....After speaking to a lady about her gg grandfather George W Catlett who was born in Paw Paw WV in 1863....I noticed that after pulling this mans death record it appears that the death date on his stone is wrong. His death record states that he died on May 1 1920 and shows his employment as being a watchman on the mountains. I am certain this is the same George Washington Catlett who died in Martinsburg WV. Just wanted to let you know and if you need the certificate I can forward it to you. Good day!

Thank you for adding the stone for Ida C. Kidwell. I put one on a much older one, but it is not a clear as yours Ida C. Kidwell was Noah Anderson Kidwell's first wife. Two of his children are also buried there, Mary and Ruth. Ida C. Kidwell's maiden name was (Largent) she was the daughter of Randolph and Mary Elizabeth (Kerns) Largent. Thanks again. Nettie
