I was born in a small hick town called Hillsville, located in Carroll county in Southwest Virginia in 1959 and was raised by a dedicated and now retired marine and a wonderful mother. I have a loving sister who is the only red head in the family. I served with the U.S. Army from 1979-1992. Upon receiving my honorable discharge as a Sergeant, I transitioned to civilian life eventually finding myself working for the cemetery system taking care of our veterans and their families. I got married on February 27, 1999 to my loving, devoted and wonderful wife Dawn Marie and we live in Alexandria, Va. I was working for the Department of Veterans Affairs at Quantico National Cemetery from Oct 6, 2003 with my last day there on June 14, 2013.|
On June 17, 2013, I started working for the Department of the Army as a Cemetery Representative at Arlington National Cemetery. The Department of the Army not only manages Arlington National Cemetery, it also manages the Soldiers & Airmens Home National Cemetery in Washington, DC.

Thank you for posting the photo of Keith Clark on his Find A Grave memorial. I follow the Taps for Veterans page on Facebook, and posted a comment there about how to find him on Find A Grave, in the hope others would leave "flowers" in honor of the man who played Taps at JFK's funeral. And Thank You for your many years of military service, also.

|Anne Cady||Arlington Section Numbers|
Thanks for the correction. I inherited a bunch of memorials for interments from 1918-1921 that had been imported from the VA database when the person who created them left the site a number of years ago. The find-a-grave admins knew how much time I spent at Arlington and decided to put them under my management. Many of the VA records used the original section numbering at Arlington (EUR, White, etc for 18; Col E for 19, CLD E for 25, South for 3, East for 2, West for 1, WWW for 17, Spa Wa, Nurse, Ft My, etc). I wish there was a way to change them all automatically, but there isn't. I do fix them when I come upon them, especially the ones that had the Colored designation. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know that I do know better. I've spent 2-3 days a week from November - May at Arlington for the last 6 years. It's one of my favorite places.
Also, if you have problems getting issues fixed with memorials on Find-a-grave in Arlington let me know. I also have full cemetery admin rights and can merge duplicates, fix any fields that are wrong, etc.
