Your tombstone stands among the rest;|
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

Would you be willing to transfer Minnie to me? I'm a distant relative trying to link all the family members. If not, could you please ad edits I sent you. Thanks much, Ernie.

Thanks for the quick response. The note I got was==Not Accurate-Their data conflicts with my data. Just wondered what you had that conflicted.

Wondering why you declined my request to add the maiden name of DeFriese to Ethel Bowser 26863936. In her daughter (Jeannette Bowser Van Dyke) recent obit, it list DeFriese as her mother's maiden name. Do you have different information than the obit?
|Karin King||RE: Joseph F. Brewster|
Yes...the obit came from a scrapbook at Berne, Indiana library...not sure of the paper, and there was no date on the page. Thanks for adding it!
|Wiatrek||RE: Cora Bell Ketchum 8262081|
Yes, that is the correct information, thank you for your prompt replies.

#38855604, Cora Belle Ketchum born in 1898 is not my Mother. My Mother is Cora Bell Ketchum Trial born 10-4-24, died 9-6-00. She was married to Valentine Joseph Trial. They are both buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Somerset, Bexar County, Tx.
Can you please let me know who to contact as I would like to have her linked to my grandparents. Is this something I can do?
Thank you for your assistance.

|Donna White||re: John and Mary Dunbar|
Hi, can you add your grave pic of John and Mary Dunbar's gravestone from John's memorial to his wife Mary Dunbar (listed in the same cemetery, but not linked up yet).
thanks, donna white
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.

Thank you for replying so quickly and additionally, for sending the info on Sylva's 2nd husband. I went back and searched through my records and was able to clear up most of my confusion. In looking at my census reports, I saw that Albert Tilden Wilson was 25 and living with his mother and 5 siblings in Cooke Co, Texas. It shows Arthur and Carl D. as being 3 and 2 yoa. I then looked at the 1910 census which shows Albert to be married to Sylva in Hewitt, Carter Co., Oklahoma. It clearly shows Arthur and Carl as his sons and they are 13 and 11. Sylva is only 24 so common sense tells me she would be too young to be their mother. Went back again to the 1900 census and this time I caught the fact that Albert was widowed in 1900. That explained it all. Now I just have to figure out who Albert's first wive was. Albert's father had just died the year before which explains why he and all of his siblings were still living at home, helping her with the farm. This is how mistakes happen! I thank you for helping me catch it!!
