Thanks to Dave, Jane, Glenda, and everyone else who does their edits within the required 30 days! |
It isn't about 'the numbers'. Higher numbers reflect nothing but the volume of work and time contributed to the site. I get not prize, not even a toaster, no matter how many memorials I create. I do this from the heart to tell people's stories, and to be sure their life here is not forgotten. About 35% of those I have created are for people whose family didn't even bother to claim their remains, yet my belief is that they somehow mattered. If that offends you, I am sorry you take it in a negative manner, but I can't fix that.
Please do not vandalize stones to get photos. A contributor recently stated "As for the chalk, it is my personal opinion that the inscription is more important than the rock on which it is inscribed." The truth is thatt the same information is often available somewhere else. If it isn't yours, you have no right to damage no matter what self-centered excuses you come up with. The same person goes on to say "Again, Sorry but I do not live by find a grave rules YET. When I have to they will never see me again." I am okay with that.
Please read, understand an follow the site guidelines. Duplicates, burial unknowns, and scanned obituaries are among things that are prohibited.
I leave all posts, negative and positive, on my wall, unless they are obscene. Those posts tell as much or more about the poster than they do about me. If you want to demonstrate that you are a loon, you are welcome to do that, too. We all need a place.
I no longer post new edits right away. Several recent cases of others sending wrong information then realizing it later has been frustrating. Mistakes happen so I will be letting edits sit for a couple of days to allow the opportunity for the 'un-do' edits to catch up with the 'do' edits.
I gladly make transfers within site guidelines. Anything beyond that, I am always happy to make edits and additions. For any questions regarding those guidelines, please refer to the FAQ link below. Please use the EDIT tab for any additions or corrections. Dishonesty will bite you in the tailfeathers.

Actually this is one and the same cemetery, One pronounced Archibald Small and 1 pronounced Arch Small Cemetery, Yep I guess the 2 cemetery's need merged but I have sent the dates of birth and the Bio to the other person who has the memorial in the Arch Small Cemetery, When he makes the changes I will delete mine, so I will save this until he does so.
I normally do not do this on your Edits but this is some of my family, so I need to hold on for Paul to except my Edits and changes.
Have a Great Day!

Jen, I took the photo back in 2007. My process was to photograph the entrance before I started and again as I left a cemetery so I would know where I took the photos. I then followed this process when I posted. If I have made any mistakes let me know and I will correct them.

now back at Cambridge.

He was at Cambridge on findagrave but the memorial was deleted [that isn't supposed to happen]. This contributor created a new memorial and ‘borrowed' my friend's photographs.
Clarence A Aaberg
Specifically: Buried at Cambridge, England
Plot: Plot D / Row 1 / Grave 49
Would you kindly change this "Non-Cemetery Burial" and put him at Cambridge where he is buried and where I took the photographs.
|Patricia Richardson Tillman||Re: 'Nee' edits declined|
No, I did not realize 'née' is another term for 'maiden name' but now I do since you have made it a point to educate me with your following message:
"You do realize that 'nee' is another term for 'maiden name', right? The two edits that you declined are effectively for Jeanette Maiden Name Allegro Valenti and Kareem Antonette Maiden Name Shakes Foster. Please remove the 'nee'. Thanks.

Since these are recent deaths with no grave stones in place, I used the obituaries as my guide for their names. The memorials will be corrected.
I really hope you have a great day, Patricia

I personally think this cemetery is listed twice. I have only been up there one time. And when I went, I only went to one cemetery. I live in Louisiana. I contacted Find A Grave to see if the 2 cemeteries can be combined but Find A Grave said "that because the GPS coordinates do not match each other, they will not combine the two". And they have a valid point. They really have no way of knowing if there is only one cemetery or two. I registered some family members in the cemetery I was at but later received messages that my entries were "duplicates" because the same people were registered in the other one.
