My photos aren't perfect and I didn't plan them to be, as I believe, in genealogy, it's more important to concentrate on what the stone has written on it, than about getting a pretty and perfectly centered photo. Most people aren't going to frame them for a wall, but will add them to a family tree program. I don't do my photos in this way to be disrespectful, just want people to be able to read what's on them, if at all possible.
I'm a cancer survivor and have scoliosis in my back, so I can walk fast, but not stay bent over long enough without pain, to take a perfectly centered and pretty photo of gravestones.
Alot of researchers want a photo, imperfections and all, to prove that a family member is in a certain cemetery and my goal was to do that for them.
Above all, I think it's most important to get photos of tombstones, even if not perfect, as to preserve the stones for family to find online, in case they are damaged in some way later and not readable at all.
