If you are interested in contact information for Frances Alirez, I have a phone number. If you want it, contact me at email@example.com and I will give it to you.
|Don Herbert||RE: Josie Alirez|
Yes, according to my wife, Francis (Rita) Alirez was Molly's daughter.

Thank you for the information. If you are related to Josie I would be happy to transfer this memorial or any other Alirez memorials to you. Her husband, Michael's, mother, Molly, was my wife's first cousin.

No problem, I would be happy to. Thanks for asking.

Found his obit in the Ft. Worth newspaper.
Didn't recognize the name as having worked in the Dallas Division.
I retired as an agent here in Dallas in 2/1992, after 39 years with the Bureau. My wife retired in 2000 with 36 years.
Notice he lost both parents in 2014 and his wife in 1/2015. Sad case.
Did he retire in AQ?
If you go to my Find A Grave site:
you will find a "virtual cemetery" for FBI Friends and Family.
Are you now retired?
The AQ SAC is married to a long time friend and retired SA - Phil Lowell.
Another former Dallas employee was in AQ for a while - Celeste Kubacek - married name was Maleck(sp).

1) The cemetery was just changed. It was in the wrong cemetery and that is why a new memorial was created. If it had been in the correct cemetery, the app would have stopped me from creating a duplicate.
2) Obituary in photo column is a violation of FindAGrave policy, as is the mention of living relatives.
I will not be transferring to that contributor.
You must understand that I got my information by walking every single aisle of both cemeteries, and while I am happy to share what I learned, I am unwilling to give credit for it to someone else.
The mission here is to "Find the Grave," and I accomplished that and have the photos to prove it. Thanks for your understanding.
Thanks for your note in reference to this lovely lady. I would love to do as you ask, however at this time, FindAGrave is not set up for properly searching women who had more than one marriage. It is absolutely maddening.
I understand they are working on it, but at this time, if I add a second surname to that field, both names become unsearchable without both names.
IOW, if our lady married a Smith and a Jones, and we make her name Susie Smith Jones, neither Susie Smith nor Susie Jones is searchable. Only those who know she's Susie Smith Jones can find her.
To complicate matters further, we have an incorrectly (by Find A Grave standards) named party at the wrong cemetery vs a correctly named (by Find A Grave standards) party at the correct cemetery with a photo. To change the name now would that status.
May I ask you to get back to me in about thirty days on this? We may have better indexing and should be rid of the erroneous file by then. I went round and round with this one before reaching this as the best temporary conclusion.
IMO, in the end, it would be better to be unsearchable other than by spouse than to be with a name that was incomplete. It was so very common for women to remarry if they lost their spouse to an untimely death (and occasionally divorce). It was most common for them to be buried with the husband with whom they had children in common.
I know that Find A Grave is addressing this situation. I simply don't know how quickly we're going to be able to have it working right.
For right now, I'd like to leave her as she is - correct by Find A Grave standards, so that there are no glitches in the transition. Would that be suitable to you? I'd tell you I'd follow in 30 days, but I have the organizational skills of a flea.
For right now, I will bold highlights - particularly marriages - of her bio so that the distinction is easier to see and follow. I will also enter an explanation of the name/stone.
Sound like a plan?

So glad I could help you. I haven't been in the area since 2003 and I had a great time visiting my old family cemeteries and trying to help the Find A grave site with the requests. Have a great day!
