Retired military. Genealogy is a passion but I slow down when football season arrives. Willing to help others as much as possible. I focus on my Stewart roots (West Virginia and Pennsylvania) and the Marshall family on my mother's side (Virginia).|
I have photo documented local cemeteries in my area of James City County, Charles City County, Williamsburg and York County, VA. I am currently working on cemeteries in Surry, Sussex, Isle of Wight and Southampton Counties, VA and on Richmond National Cemetery in Richmond, VA.
I have also photo documented several cemeteries in the Hilton Head Island, SC, Kitty Hawk (Dare County), NC and Leavenworth, KS areas while on vacation.
If I have added a memorial for one of your family members just let me know your Find A Grave member number and I will transfer it to you.

|MARY RICHMOND||JANE OLIVETTE LEONARD|
I just wanted to say thank you so much for listing my Grandmother in findagrave. I have been searching for her for 15 years! I had no idea she'd be in Virginia. Could you transfer her page to me? She is Jane Olivette Leonard #59598355 and I am Mary Richmond #47042214. Thanks again for your kindness and your time. -MARY DEE RICHMOND-

Mary is my second great grandmother and Ive hit a total brick wall on her parents. I think I found her family on the 1860 census but lose track of them. Do you happen to have any info on her parents or siblings?
Thanks in advance!

Thank You Sir. (for your continued service to everyday life)
I am taking a last minute weekend trip to Williamsburg VA.
A dear friend of mine dead and buried in July 2005.
I have tried to get in contact with family members to let someone know that I will be paying my respects, but they have seemed to... I don't know or want to say.
Basically, I am digging around the internet, first my Facebook Tribute page is now inaccessible, then I thought I was going to have to hassle Nelson Funeral Home for info.
But in the end, this webpage and you Sir have came through. *so you never know what actions will get noticed, but we do it anyways* Now I don't have to be overwhelmed walking around.
Thank you, Dalit Arkarath (Cpl USMC 2005-2009)

Ron, thank you as always for your continuing help.
The recent transfers of:
James Cleveland "Red" Carico, Sr # 65666363
& his wife;
Rachel Lee Fielder Carico # 65666362
are updated and most of all very appreciated.
|Cheryl Proffitt||Thank you|
I just wanted to say thanks for photographing the gravestones of the Edwards and New cemetery in Charles City and uploading them. Some of my ancestors are buried there and I went looking for it once myself but wasn't able to find the location. It's good to know that the place does still exist.

Thanks a bazillion for the transfer :-)
No need for Donna to transfer ... she's my hubby's cousin. We worked together on uploading some memorials from some of the old cemeteries. I noticed her name on there and meant to say something to you about her but forgot LOL.
Thanks again. Have a fantastic evening.

|Marcia Bryan Curtis||RE: Major Watkins Marable|
That would be great, Ron.
My # is 47891148 Marcia Bryan Curtis.
My mother's grandmother was Nancy Marable, sister to Major Watkins Marable, SR, both children of Judith Gill & Abraham Marable.
|Marcia Bryan Curtis||Major Watkins Marable|
Ron, this is Major Watkins Marable, Jr, the son of Major Watkins "Wattie/Waddy" Marable, Sr who was born in 1818.
I am pretty sure that "Major" was their name, and not their rank. I need to check on that. The Marables are part of my family.

Thank you so very much for the permission. I am a Findagrave.com volunteer as well and I share all my photos ... I wish everyone would do the same.
If you are willing to transfer the memorial to me I'd love to take care of it. This is my husband's line.
