I have been documenting the LOCAL north Louisiana families of Sisson, Harp, Daniel(s), Yeldell, Evans, Cheshire, Arant, Sims, Manning, Whitehead, Humphrey(s), Laing, Rainwater, Bowe and Tidwell.

I am slowly working my way (page by page) through the digital newspapers of Morehouse Parish, Union Parish, Richland Parish, Rapides Parish, Ouachita Parish and West Carroll Parish - I especially like the turn of the century, the WWI and WWII years, and the 1918/1919 flu pandemic BEFORE it became popular - I also dabble in Kansas. PS - a subscription to Newspapers.com is the best money I ever spent. I also attempt to find ANY veteran I come across no matter where they are from.
