My ancestry interests on my Dad's family are Germans: Bonorden and Knipling; on my Mom's family are Edwards and Vinson. My husbands family are Jentsch's, Kneuppers, Scheefs and Ruetters (all German families).|
One of my goals is to 'connect' all the 'residents' of the Gause and surrounding cemeteries to their families buried there and elsewhere. I appreciate all the help I get from other FAG members with the connections and corrections, thank you!
Currently working on cemeteries in Milam, Burleson and Robertson Counties.
** I believe that those that have gone on, deserve to be known. This isn't about 'me' but about 'them'. All pictures are given freely to anyone to use but photo credit would be polite and greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I live in Southeastern Milam County near Gause, TX. I am happy to help with any cemetery locations near me.
**If you send me an email via the edit other and you don't hear from me then please use email@example.com . I answer! If I don't, it means I didn't get it! Thanks ***
**I have no problem transferring pages outside the FAG guidelines but you MUST have an email address. I understand 'disabling' your messages on FAG but please send me a private message. ***
You was here but now You've gone,
You've left your name to carry on,
Written in stone or just pages in time;
There is no real death until you are forgotten,
So let those that read this remember you often.
***Forget You Not******
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.

I don't know if I responded to you yet: DO NOT FEEL BAD. I do not do this for accolades - I am, however, glad that you are happy with my contributions.

Great, thanks! I asked Jan who has his name to post it in his bio. I don't know if we have it or not. THANK YOU!

Weird, I never got a notification you posted to my board .... just now seeing it.
"Assumption" has always been that she was most likely buried with 2nd husband in Marlow Cemetery. He was John M. Dowty. The contributor who entered his name is a "cousin" of mine. We've never found our relative, my great aunt. Her DC says Sampson Cemetery. There is no such cemetery by that name found on Find A Grave and no one in Milam Co has ever hear of it.... and we've questioned a LOT of people about it over the years! I see there is no photo for John Dowty in Marlow Cem (?) I guess IF she is there she doesn't have a stone either. I'm looking for Hester Kirk (Collins) Whitmire Dowty [that can be spelled as Dowty, Dowdy, Douty] She was b. 1865 and d. Oct 9, 1919. I've even searched the old obits for her ... nothing. Please keep her name in mind - thanks!

Holly, since you've worked so many of the Milam Co cemeteries I wonder if you could help me ... I'm looking for one that was called Sampson Cemetery (back in 1919). I have a great aunt who, per her TXDC, was buried there but I've never been able to locate a cemetery by that name. Have you ever heard any reference to a cemetery by that name?

I'm not shadowing you, and I'm not the Find A Grave police. I find mistakes. That's all there is to it.

|Chris||Blank Last Names|
Per the FAQs, unreadable or unknown last names are to be entered as Unknown. Leaving the Last Name field blank renders the memorial unsearchable.
Also, punctuation such as ? to indicate uncertainty is not permitted. Again ... if an name is not readable, fill the name field with Unknown.
