Charles Holmes' grave site
Oops...I just enlarged the photo that you posted and now understand what you were telling me. Duh! ;-> Guess it's time to stop burning the midnite oil.

Now to figure out who Charles O. Holmes was... ;-> I'm not showing him in my database so far.

Thanks again,

Dee in FL

Linda, I just ran across the picture that you posted. I really appreciate you having taken the time to try and locate a stone for him. I would love to know how you found out the plot/space that was allotted to him and also if either of the other stones shown in that picture might have been for other people with the last name of Holmes.

Thanks again,

Dee in FL

Peter Schild #78624888
Linda, Peter is not the child of Peter (78624888) and Susan(78624598) Schild. He was a nephew of Older Peter Schild (78624888), as noted on the gravestone. Young Peter's father was Casper Schild. When Casper died Peter and Susan took him in. I do not know yet where Casper is buried.

Thank you for creating memorials for this family.

Rebecca Earnest Langworthy grave photo
Hi Linda,

I see you took the photo of my GGG Grandparents grave Daniel and Dortha Earnest in the Prairie City Cemetary in Bates Co., MO. I just learned their daughter my GG Grandmother Rebecca Earnest Langworthy is also buried there. I would be eternally grateful to see a photo of her grave. Thank you for considering this request. With kindest regards, Dana Langworthy (dana@langworthylegal.com)

Photos that are tied to Find a Grave
My job Background is centered around Information Technology and Information Assurance. My question is centered how does The Find A Grave website help secure information. By providing all the information that you do, do you think that it stops people from coming to the cemeteries and researching for themselves? Or because all of the information is on the Internet, families stop talking about history because now it's just not that important, because it is had the click of a button? My real question is centered around the photos, how does Find A Grave protect against infringing on Copyright laws and the owner of the original Photo. Maybe the original photo owner doesn't want the photo published on the Internet where it becomes Public Domain. Any thoughts on the subject would be well appreciated.

Thanks Dave Solomon

Hello! I was wondering if you would allow me to attach (with appropriate credit given) your headstone photo from this memorial to my tree on Ancestry?

Thanks for considering my request. :)

Nevada State Hospital Cemetery
You sent me a picture of the stone for my Ggrandmothers grave a few years back and I totally appreciated it. You are an angel.

We just took the 2000 mile trip from WA State to Missouri to put flowers on her grave and you cannot believe the conditions of that cemetery.
It is a total weed field of 2 feet tall or taller in places, we were afraid to even walk but saw no stones or markers. It is a disgrace and shows no respect for the dead. We were traveling by RV and went to the office and got the key to go inside the cemetery but, no need the fence was down in places and I am so disappointed in whoever is suppose to take care of it. The lady didn't know anything or if anyone takes care of it. She had never actually seen it but it was only a few blocks away. Shame of Missouri ....My G-grandma deserves way better than this. Do you have any ideas on this matter?
Thank you, Carol

Fulton C. RODMAN. You have posted the wrong gravestone on this memorial. Would you check this? Thank you, Sandy

RE: Naomi E. Slack
Thanks, Naomi. I actually clicked on the photo, but then enlarged it and totally overlooked the caption. Silly of me. Thanks for responding. At least I now know that this is not the Naomi I'm looking for.
