Bio and Links
Bio Photo I grew up in PA and lived there all my life in a small town in the Northwestern corner. I have lived in Texas for a short year and a half and am enjoying it. Over the Easter weekend, my cousin took me out to "Find a Grave'. I was intrigued in walking around the cemetery and seeing the history there. So, here I am hoping to get out see Texas and to help piece a little of history together for someone who needs it!

Otis W. Dodson, I can not find name of town or the County you have down in Texas. He left home hoboing on trains heading for CA, He fell from the train and was killed. His personal effects were sent back to his mother which include a belt buckle made out of nickels that was bent double. It was kept in her trunk till she died.
I am so glad to find this Find A Grave. I would appreciate any info: you might have on this man.
Otis has a nieces who lives in Winfield, Al and she said this story about his death was told to everyone. Dodson is my family line. Thanks Luteen Carroll

Thank you for your contribution!
Thank you K for putting the photo of Andrew Hugh Dugan's gravesite on findagrave. He was the only sibling to leave the home area in Illinois and little was known about him. It is a wonderful service that you have provided.

Stiles Cemetery
Hi its me again,

It is fall and the grass and groundcover is dying and the snakes, if any, should be in hibernation.

I was near the cemetery and believe it is on the property of someone with the mailbox with Sidney Ging on the side at 2100 CR 430. Gate was locked and no one appeared to be home.

Is this the right address? Does anyone live there. Couldn't find the name in the phonebook.
I note there is a Stiles farm associated with Texas A&M at the corner of FM 1063. Can they provide access?

Anyway I would like to visit and photograph this cemetery for the Williamson County Historical Commission, whose cemetery chairman is updating their cemetery map.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

George James Holman - Beaukiss Cemetery
Reported by: KProud on Sep 20, 2009
General problem: I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave
Details: Could not find George anywhere, do not see his name listed in a chronological listing of Beaukiss cemetery that was done in 2006.

In response to your message:

I am not going by a cemetery list I am going by the information off of his death certificate.

I guess he just does not have a headstone. Very sad...

RE: Stiles Cemetery
Thanks Kay,

I will leave it up to you to finish photograph the cemetery.

I have editing softwear, ACDcee, which I bought to adjust the tilt I usually get in my photos.

Keep up the good work.

Stiles Cemetery
I would like to visit this cemetery, but my first attempt didn't get me there.

I turned at the Stiles Cemetery sign, came to a gate, opened the gate and went through a pasture full of curious cows over a very bad pasture road and stopped at another gate. Didn't open gate as the cows would have gone through it before I could have drove through. Looked in all direction and did not see a cemetery. All I saw was what appeared to be farm house in the distance. Plenty of open space.

If there is a farmhouse there then it would appear that there is another road to the cemetery, perhaps closer.

I understand you made a contact that led you to the cemetery. Could you give me the name of that contact and also directions.

If you photographed all the gravestones then I won't have to visit the cemetery. If not I would like to visit the cemetery and photograph all the gravestones.
