Who is this man and the girls with him?|
If they aren't my lines, I will do a transfer. Memorial # to further your research/contacts.
If you want my notes or info on what I know about any of these family groups, I am very happy to share it.
Ancestor searching/solving: Acadians, Battle of Kings Mountain, Expeditioners Lewis and Clark groups: Ferguson, Wilmeth, Russell, Bean, Kennedy, McPherson, Gilpin, Lewis, Clark, Boone, Hite, Van Meter, Sevier, McCormick, Terrill, Washiington, Warner, Mouton, Theriot, Bourgeois, Trahan, Thibodeaux, Babin/Babineau, etc.
Weems/Wemyss, Abbott, Willis, Shepherd, Lane/Layne, Hinton, Landon, Briggs/Bridges, Carter.
How they all connect.
Photo Tips: Always scan your image at the original size + at least 300 res./dpi (magazine print) 600, is better. Save as a TIF, for archive. It will not ever lose resolution when opening over and over. Save a copy as a JPEG for quick sharing, or Web. JPEGs lose res. every time you open them. ZipIt to mail, won't corrupt.

Gosh, Gayle, I have no idea about this. I still own the memorial for Robert Briggs. Have you written to the Find A Grave owners about this? I am always uncomfortable when someone doesn't respond to requests and questions. Keep me in the loop!

Sorry, I don't know if he is buried near Mary. I have not been to the cemetery.

I showed my mother the picture of Nora; she had never seen a picture of her. Thought she was very pretty. My mother knew Hopson and their daughters. I put in a photo request for gravestone of Lowell Kenneth (Jones) Eckhoff. There is now a picture of his gravestone; double stone with 2nd wife. Original birth certificate was Kenneth Lowell Jones. He is buried in Louisiana. I would like to link him to Oddie Jones and Imogene Lawhon Jones. Do you have a picture of Lowell? I was very young the last time I saw him. Also, my mother said Lowell stayed with the Briggs when he came to Taylor to visit; he seemed fond of his maternal Grandparents. Having said that, would you want to manage his memorial page? The page is currently in my name, but I would be happy for it to be managed by a Briggs family member.

|Sebastian||Re: Babineaux Bros. Photo|
Her parents are also Bernard Bourg and Francoise Brun. Bernard and Francoise are the parents of:
Claire born in 1671 (md Bernard Daigle), Marguerite (md Claude Dugas), Jeanne (married Claude Dugas jr), Anne (md Charles Guilbault), Claire (md Joseph Dugas)), Francoise (md to Ambroise Melanson), Abraham (md Marie Dugas), Renee-Renoche (md Clement Babineau, Marie (md Laurent Granger), and Claire born in 1692 (md Francois Dugas).
So those children above who married Dugas's married their step-mother's siblings - this wasn't that uncommon for that time and area (you'll see it more and more as you get into Acadian family history).
Hope this helps...

Claude Dugas (junior) did marry a Bourg as well, but her name was Jeanne. She was born about 1678 and is the daughter of Bernard Bourg and Francoise Brun. Hope this helps...

|Sebastian||Enoch Carrier and Leonie (Nézat) Carrier|
In answer to your question:
Enoch Carrier [# 34137278] married only one time.
Enoch Carrier [# 34137278] married Leonie Nézat [# 34137122] on October 20, 1900 at the age of 21 years. He died in 1941, long before his widow.
Leonie (Nézat) Carrier was a sister of Marie Noelie (Nézat) Duplechain [# 34135431].
Marie Noelie (Nézat) Duplechain [# 34135431] was never married to Enoch Carrier [# 34137278].
Thank you for asking.

Was reading one of your post on Glynn Myers page... and noticed you also share my direct line. Alexis St. Cyr is my 3rd G- grandfather and Clemence St. Cyr whom would be his sister is my 3rd G Grandmother. Clemence married my 3rd G- grandfather Joseph Armand Carriere Sr. and they had my 2nd G-grandmother Therese Carriere. Alexis St. Cyr married my 3rd G grandmother Elizabeth (Eliza) Arnaud... Still trying to figure all of this out.. I have been in touch with Glynn for about a year and a half now... he has helped alot. I would be interested in sharing information and or photos of our ancestors... Thank you...
I was wondering if these two memorials are the same Alexandre Bourg #139633821 and Marguerite Melancon #135714984 that you mentioned in your email?
I tried to do more research on Alexandre when I entered his memorial on Friday, but didn't have any luck (he's not in my direct line so I didn't have any records on him). Since so many brothers named their sons the same names, I didn't want to link the wrong people together...
