Hi, I am Billy .......|
(Last updated 16 Dec 2012)
Due to my Dad's death, I have taken over my dad's work on the Womble Family Tree. The Family tree goes back to the 1600's when the Wombles(Wombwell) came over from England to Virginia.((( Some of the first settlers of this family name or some of its variants were: Thomas Wombwell who settled in Virginia in 1648 ))) Sometime in the early 1700's the Wombles move to Edgecombe County, NC.
Edgecombe became a County 1741
Nash become a County 1771
Wilson become a County 1855
These are the 3 main Counties for the Womble
(The early years) ....
John Womble b.1756/d.1821
OFF of John William Womble b.1837/d.1904:
There are very few "Womble" (name Womble) left in Edgecombe County from the blood line. There is a lot of, next to kin, still there farming the home stead.
The Family Tree is not just of the Womble but it goes in all direction. You can follow the links I made on Fine A Grave. My dad did not take pictures of any headstones. SO, since I am out there anyway, why not take pictures of other headstones.
The County I will be going to is Harnett, Johnston, Wilson, Nash and Edgecombe, all in NC.
These are the main Counties.
I made this line for family members who would like to trace their family ancestry.
I prefer you to send me information on Find A Grave Memorial. Once I know there is an interest on that person, I will add the information and add some other information that I can find and sometimes I will start a family member search.(Trace their family tree) I love doing this and I do this for free.
Please do not ask for a Transfer just to own it.
Please add or contact me if you have family photos .......

I notice you are managing this man's memorial. I was recently came across the honorable discharge papers for him from his service in WW1. I saved the papers hoping to find one of his family members who might like to have them as part of their genealogical treasures. Are you related to Mr Pittman? Do you know someone who would like these papers?
|Joseph Hancammon||Parents of Ida B. Capps Young|
Mrs. Young is my Mother-in-law. Her Father was William Herman Capps, 1900-1932, Memorial # 111718333.
Her Mother was actually Addie B Massengill Capps, 1895-1915, Memorial # 120903562
The Mary Capps listed on Mrs. Young's Memorial page was actually Herman's Capps second wife.

Also I need their grandmother transferred. Thanks.

Please transfer this memorial to me. Her children and I are very close. I know they would appreciate it very much. I already have their grandparents.
|William Pittman||Lunsford George H. Pittman|
Lunsford George H. Pittman was my Great Great Grandfather and I have found some information on him after he migrated to West Tennessee. However I have not be able to connect him to his parents. I see your Pittman Family Cemetery Findagrave Memorials #105269023 and #105268969 indicate he was a child of Grisham Coffield Pittman and Mary Lynch Pittman. I assume you have evidence to support this and would appreciate it if you would provide me the data or sources.
Thanks in advance for any information you can provide,
William L. Pittman
|Joseph Hancammon||Death Date Correction|
Billy, I was checking my Wife's Family Cemetery in Four Oaks, NC, Jernigan Family Cemetery and noticed a wrong death date for Ida B. Capps Young, my Wife's Mother, Memorial # 50399085. She actually died in 2002.
I also noticed there were no Family Links to Nannie Mae Young, # 50399152 or William Howard Young, # 50399133. Their Mother was Ida B. Capps Young, # 50399085 and their Father was David Wilmer Young, # 50399102.
My Wife has Family pictures we'd like to add, or have you add, if you don't mind.
|Pamela Thompson||Gravestone Photo Permission|
I am happy to see that you photographed the gravestone of Henry Alford in Boyette Family Cemetery (Memorial# 103554564).
I would like to add this gravestone photo to the non-profit Alford American Family Association's collection of North Carolina Obituaries, where his obituary is (or will be) included. You can see the current collection at http://www.alfordassociation.org/OBITS/NCOBIT.htm.
May I have your permission to include your gravestone photos? If so, the photo caption will say:
Photo from [cemetery name, city, county, state]—www.findagrave.com
Permission granted by the photographer, Billy Womble
And thanks so much for your gravestone photo work!

|K Lear||Isaac Womble|
Hi Mr. Womble,
I am wondering if you have any written proofs that connect Isaac to his father, Nathaniel? Of Nathaniel's many wives, I am trying to determine his parents for certain. Any information you might have would be helpful.

|Pat Montgomery||William David Robbins|
Billy, I am a granddaughter of David Robbins and would like to have some info added to his find a grave site. Is this permissible? and how would I do this if it is? Would love to get or give any info that would enhance my genealogy study on the Robbins family. I do have quite a bit, but always welcome more. Would be glad to share my stuff with you also. My email is firstname.lastname@example.org and my tree on ancestry is called Allinone if you want to view it. I have lots of photos on it.
Blessings, Pat Alsup Montgomery
|Eugenia Wade||Rowland Wiggins Family Bible|
I am related to Rowland Wiggins and was wondering who or where you gained access to for the info accredited to his Bible. I would love to get in contact with whoever has it so that I could see it or possibly make copies of some of the pages. Thanks for any help you can render.
