I can't always get a good photo. So, if anyone ever gets a better photo for a memorial where I posted a photo and need me to remove my old photos to make room for the better photos, please let me know.
My main line interest at this point is the Hillman family of Charles Lewis Hillman 19145990, but that tends to lead me into lots of other family names.
While I live in Northern Virginia, most of my interests are in Louisiana and Mississippi thus far. Happy to help with anything in Northern Virginia and try to get to Louisiana and Mississippi a couple times a year to catalog and photograph additional cemeteries.

The biggest thing that helped us figure out my situation was comparing the matches a newly discovered cousin and I had in common. That pointed us towards a particular section of her tree, which then was used to search 1930 and 1940 census records. We went through the generation of kids we knew we had to have in common (there were only about 12 in that particular group so we felt lucky, lol) and ultimately found the connection. Not sure if that approach might be worth considering or not, but thought I'd throw it out there in case it might be helpful for you. Best of luck and I hope you quickly find the information you seek. :)

Boy, do I understand where you're at on this one. I began 2015 with only snippets of information on my biological father; I'm ending it with the ability to count relationships being developed with two half-sisters. If you haven't done so, you might give serious thought to becoming active in Ancestry.com's web site and taking their DNA test. It was through their test I was able to discover new relatives and I'm deeply grateful as I get to know them. You're most welcome about the photo and feel free to use it in Ancestry (or any other genealogy type website) where you are storing your information. Best wishes.

Thank you for connecting Uncle Sherman with his parents and brothers. I loved him and my Aunt Selma dearly, and was sad to see he was disconnected from his family.

Mr. Foley, I sure appreciate your posting the image for the gravestone of Doris Ray Harbin at Greenwood Cemetery in Pineville - was wondering where she was was - and right next to the Greiners you were kind enough to post as well - Thank You Again! - JP

I'm trying to find some information on this person. I was at Ebenezer years ago and now that I'm doing family history I'm looking for information. The marker for her grave is a hand carved stone. I don't think there are any dates on this, but through my research I think this may be my great aunt, she died in childbirth. she was born about 1896. I figured she died before 1939 because the house and property she died at was bought for taxes in 1939 and the previous owner was john spurgeon. Is there someone I can talk to about cemetery records. I also have an aunt i never met buried there named aline jeane, she was 7 when she passed away.
Thank you for sharing the obit. I've added it but I will be happy to transfer the memorial to you because I am not related. I will delete my memorial too, if you'd rather, however I won't be able to add the marker picture to your memorial because I don't have it anymore. It was deleted when I had to clean out my hard drive due to a really bad virus. Just let me know what you would like done. Thanks again!

Thank you for the photo of George Smith. Were you related to him? I never met him but he was my great uncle.
