I've been working on my Family history since I was 11 years old. I started this because of a homework assignment and became hooked when Grandpa explained that he was Grandma's third husband. I had no idea!

I've used this site for a long time, gleaning little tidbits of information that I needed. Then it occurred to me that I may have information that someone else needs so I should give back. I signed up as a member and I've been adding my little tidbits as I find them. I hope it helps someone.

If I claim a photo request for an area not local to me (Stafford, VA) don't panic. It means that I was there and already have the picture and I will upload it once I return home from my travels. Along those lines - when I am traveling I may let you know that I have claimed one of your photo requests. If you will go ahead and request the rest of your family in that cemetery it helps because if I am running out of time, memory space in my camera, or battery I will try to concentrate on requests that have been made. :)

UPDATES ON MY PROJECTS!

I have taken the photos for Rodef Shalom Cemetery in Cardiff, NJ. I will be entering those as I can. There are over 4000 photos so it may take me most of the winter to get them all entered! UPDATE: 20 MAR 2016 - I am down to only 783 more pictures to enter for this cemetery which at my current pace will take about 3 months. Once competed I will start on Mount Calvary, in Pleasantville. COMPLETED! I am now working on Mount Calvary.

I have taken photos of about 1/3 of the Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Cardiff, NJ. I have completed adding the photos that I have until my next trip. (Except for the ones that need translating from Hebrew to English.) COMPLETED!

I have completed taking the pictures in Emeth Shalom Cemetery, Cardiff, NJ. I will hopefully complete entering them into FAG by the end of 2014! COMPLETED!

I have photo documented the Stafford Memorial Gardens, Stafford, VA up through last summer (2012) so now we just need to keep up with the new additions. But there are hundreds of unmarked graves in that cemetery.

I have taken all photos for the AMAA Cemetery in Brooke, Stafford/Fredericksburg, VA. All names and photos have been entered as of June 2013. This cemetery buries people in the order received so it will be easy to keep updated.

Edits and Transfer requests should be made through the edit tab. Thanks.

If you volunteer on this website and decide you no longer want to maintain memorials, please transfer your records to someone who has an active account and is willing to take over management of the memorials. I am one of many willing to take over records. This really will help keep memorials current and to reduce duplicate memorials.

You can email [email protected] if you have someone who has accepted stewardship over the memorials you added. Please send in their member number with your email. Feel free to contact me should you wish that I maintain the memorials you have created. Thanks!
