Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been working on my Family history since I was 11 years old. I started this because of a homework assignment and became hooked when Grandpa explained that he was Grandma's third husband. I had no idea!

I've used this site for a long time, gleaning little tidbits of information that I needed. Then it occurred to me that I may have information that someone else needs so I should give back. I signed up as a member and I've been adding my little tidbits as I find them. I hope it helps someone.

UPDATES ON MY PROJECTS!

I have photo documented the Stafford Memorial Gardens, Stafford, VA up through last summer (2012) so now we just need to keep up with the new additions. But there are hundreds of unmarked graves in that cemetery.

I have taken all photos for the AMAA Cemetery in Brooke, Stafford/Fredericksburg, VA. All names and photos have been entered as of June 2013. This cemetery buries people in the order received so it will be easy to keep updated.

I have completed the photos for Rodef Shalom Cemetery in Cardiff, NJ. I will be entering those as I can. There are over 4000 photos so it may take me most of the winter to get them all entered!

I have taken photos of about 1/3 of the Beth Kehillah Cemetery in Cardiff, NJ. I have completed adding the photos that I have until my next trip. (Except for the ones that need translating from Hebrew to English.)

I have completed taking the pictures in Emeth Shalom Cemetery, Cardiff, NJ. I will hopefully complete entering them into FAG by the end of 2014!

Also, if I claim a photo request for an area not local to me (Stafford, VA) don't panic. It means that I was there and already have the picture and I will upload it once I return home from my travels. Along those lines - when I am traveling I may let you know that I have claimed one of your photo requests. If you will go ahead and request the rest of your family in that cemetery it helps because if I am running out of time, memory space in my camera, or battery I will try to concentrate on requests that have been made. :)

Edits and Transfer requests should be made through the edit tab. Thanks.

RE: Thank you!
Yes, I fully agree. Keep warm my northern friend and finish this project in the spring. Now that it has gotten cooler here in FL and the snakes have gone to bed, my family will be setting markers on ancestors' graves in an old cemetery ...these markers are way over due.

Even Southern ladies' year of birth change as they get older too!!!

Thank you!
Just a little thank you for the big project that you are accomplishing at Rodef Sholom Cemetery in NJ.

FYI ...I made these memorials from old online obits and don't know why the dates don't match the markers. Thanks for the edits.

Dr. Sarah Lynn Broadfield Huffman
Hi Carol! I received the email from Find A Grave about Dr. Huffman. I have just now "moved" her to the same cemetery with her father. Thanks so much for the information. Tom in Kansas City, Missouri

Hi Carol,
I am presently in Israel, but when I return, I can call the cemeteries and get the exact location. Go ahead and make sure you have all the info from my memorial to him. Even if I have him in the correct cemetery, as soon as we correct your memorial, I will remove mine. I am totally not possessive of the memorials I make unless they are for my close relatives. And your effort in taking the photo is far greater than mine for making the memorial.
All the best.
Yours,
Ava

Martin Smith # 154268061
Martin's wife Theodora is in a family plot
in BREWTON cemetery, Hagan, Evans County, GA
where she is between her father Elmer Carlyle
Brewton and a grave cover marked Martin Smith, born 20 Jul 1937. Martin's grave cover was likely placed same time as was Theodora's who died
20 Mar 1993. I don't know if Martin is interred
in BREWTON.

East Ridgelawn Cemetery
FYI - East Ridgelawn Cemetery and Ridgelawn Cemetery in Passaic County are the same cemetery. Findagrave has yet to combine them. Both names for the same the cemetery were used during different decades but, it's the same place.

Lola Pergament
I should have looked further before sending the preceeding message. It appears that all of the family links to the "Rose" family should be removed until we learn Lola's maiden name and possibly place of birth.

Just finished my memorial to Boo.

I recently had a stem-cell transplant and hope to get back to almost normal by this summer. Good luck on the Cardiff Jewish Cemeteries.
